Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The letter covers all three bullet points: it describes the job, explains why it is suitable, and provides instructions on how to apply. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation of why the job is suitable is a bit vague, relying on general statements about 'dedication' and 'productivity' rather than specific skills. The tone is generally appropriate for a letter to a friend, though the structure is slightly disjointed. To improve, ensure that each point is expanded with more specific details to fully address the prompt's requirements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The letter is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, the transition 'However, this employment not also retain on hard work' is confusing and does not effectively link the ideas. Additionally, some sentences are fragmented or lack logical flow, such as the abrupt transition between the job description and the application process. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that sentences flow logically from one to the next would significantly enhance the coherence of the response.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'respond your request regarding looking a employment opportunity' and 'retain on hard work'. The student relies on basic vocabulary and struggles with collocations. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated or precise language limits the score. To reach a higher band, the student should focus on learning common collocations and using more varied, natural-sounding expressions appropriate for a semi-formal or informal letter.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with prepositions ('respond your request'), articles ('an administrative job'), and verb forms ('which is requiring'). Sentence structures are mostly simple, and attempts at more complex sentences often result in errors, such as 'not forget to upload your cv' and 'if they ask for the reference give my name'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable and affect the overall fluency of the writing. More attention to basic grammar rules and sentence construction is needed.
