Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The letter covers all three bullet points required by the prompt. You introduce the job at Johnson Baby, explain why it is suitable based on your friend's college projects, and provide instructions on how to apply. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation of the application process is quite basic, and the description of the job role is brief. To reach a higher band, you should provide more detailed information about the company culture or the specific responsibilities of the manager role to make the letter feel more authentic and helpful.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your message. You use some basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly' and 'After that' to sequence the application steps. However, the transitions between sentences are sometimes abrupt, and the flow is occasionally hindered by repetitive sentence structures. The use of referencing is generally clear, but the overall progression could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to connect your ideas more fluidly rather than relying on simple chronological markers.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, such as 'vacancy', 'manufacturing', and 'application'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'suited on you' (should be 'suited to you'), 'boost your carrier' (should be 'career'), and 'promote to other country' (which is unclear). These errors occasionally impede the precision of your message. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring that your word choices are contextually appropriate for a professional recommendation.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'may be you know' (should be 'maybe you know'), 'Your always show interest' (should be 'You always showed interest'), and 'You can easily applied' (should be 'You can easily apply'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing around periods. While these errors do not completely prevent understanding, they are frequent enough to lower the overall accuracy score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and verb tense consistency will significantly improve your writing.
