Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

You have successfully addressed all three bullet points in the prompt. You clearly described the job, explained why it is suitable for your friend, and provided instructions on how to apply. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend, maintaining a friendly and helpful register throughout. The ideas are relevant and well-developed, providing enough detail to satisfy the task requirements. To improve, ensure that your opening and closing are more natural; for instance, 'in pink of your health' is an idiom that is not used in modern English. Overall, the task is fulfilled effectively.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is logically organized, with each paragraph focusing on a specific aspect of the task. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Additionally', 'Moreover', and 'In order to', which help the flow of ideas. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the connection between sentences could be smoother in places. For example, the transition between the description of the job and the reason it is suitable could be more fluid. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different sections of the letter, which aids readability.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, such as 'nurturing environment', 'productive day', and 'sensory skills'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation. For instance, 'appropiate job which is nearby a local company' is slightly awkward; 'a suitable job at a local company' would be more natural. Additionally, 'well-behaved profession' is an incorrect collocation, as professions themselves are not 'well-behaved'. While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise vocabulary usage to reach a higher band.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'in pink of your health' (incorrect idiom), 'related to take care of' (should be 'related to taking care of'), and 'three year degree in an early childhood educator' (should be 'degree in early childhood education'). Furthermore, there are minor punctuation and article errors throughout the text. While these errors are noticeable, they do not prevent the reader from understanding your message. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of gerunds after prepositions.
