The job which I am talking about is the supervising of a team and assembly line in the manufacturing industry, named as a Linamar corporation.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
You have successfully addressed all three bullet points in the prompt. You clearly described the job at Linamar, explained why it is a good fit based on your friend's background in project management, and provided instructions on how to apply. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend. To reach a higher band, ensure that your explanations are slightly more detailed; for example, you could elaborate on why the specific skills from his degree would be particularly useful in this manufacturing role. Overall, the task is fully completed with a clear purpose.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a closing. You use some cohesive devices like 'Addition to that' and 'For applying this position' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical or repetitive. The paragraphing is appropriate, though the transition between the job description and the application process could be smoother. The overall progression of ideas is easy to follow, and the letter maintains a consistent focus throughout.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, such as 'manufacturing industry', 'auditing', and 'quarterly general meeting'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'address you about a hiring' (should be 'inform you about a vacancy') and 'you already eligible' (should be 'you are already eligible'). While these errors do not impede communication, they prevent the use of vocabulary from appearing natural or sophisticated. Expanding your range of collocations would improve your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'It's been a while to meet with you' (should be 'It's been a while since we met'), 'as you are already graduate' (should be 'as you are already a graduate'), and 'which you send me' (should be 'which you sent me'). While these errors are frequent, they rarely cause confusion for the reader. To improve, focus on verb tense consistency and the correct use of articles and prepositions.
