Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt. You clearly described the job at the tech company, explained why your friend's background in business administration and familiarity with specific software makes them a strong candidate, and provided a logical set of instructions for the application process. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend. To reach a higher band, ensure that the development of ideas is slightly more polished; for instance, the transition between the job description and the application process could be smoother to ensure the letter flows as a cohesive piece of communication.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is logically organized, with each paragraph focusing on a specific requirement of the task. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'The good news is that' and 'Just click on', to guide the reader. However, the paragraphing is a bit inconsistent, and the transition between ideas could be more sophisticated. Some sentences are slightly disjointed, such as the run-on sentence in the first paragraph. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would help improve the overall flow and logical progression of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your message clearly, such as 'opportunity', 'requirements', and 'notifications'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'working from last two years' (should be 'have been working for the last two years') and 'degree of business administration' (should be 'degree in business administration'). While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise control over common collocations and prepositions. Expanding your vocabulary to include more varied descriptive language would also enhance your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb tenses and articles, such as 'I really excited' (missing 'am'), 'looking for job' (missing 'a'), and 'than it shows' (should be 'then'). Additionally, the closing 'You faithfully' is incorrect for a letter to a friend; 'Yours sincerely' or 'Best wishes' would be more appropriate. While these errors rarely impede communication, the frequency of these slips prevents a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage will significantly improve your accuracy.
