Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Zalak,
I hope your doing great. It was great to hear from you and I am glad you reached out and asking some suggestion about how to find a job in India.
First, I would say it's easy to find a job in local business. Few days ago, I read article about local company who is looking for fresh comers. I think that job will suits you not only because you know different language, but also your communication skills is excellent. To be frank, you just have to talk with different people on the phone and solve their issues, that's it! Basically, it is customer service job.
However, how to apply, so first, you have to go to the website, look for the application form because they have many more information and advertisements and also various others topics, which can take your time and got nothing at the end, so go straight forward. Fill the application form and submit with some documents, which they are asking, done the process.
I hope this data will help you to find a job which is good for you.
Your bestie

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response successfully covers all the required bullet points of the prompt. You begin by telling your friend Zalak about the job in a local company involving customer service over the phone. You then explain why it would be suitable, highlighting their language skills and excellent communication abilities. Finally, you provide guidance on how to apply by directing them to the website and advising them to fill out the application form. The tone is appropriately informal and friendly for a General Training letter. All parts of the task are adequately addressed, earning a solid band score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is organised into clear paragraphs with an overall logical arrangement. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'First', 'However', and 'I hope', which guide the reader through the letter. However, some transitions are slightly repetitive or mechanical, particularly the phrasing in the third paragraph ('However, how to apply, so first, you have to go...'), which disrupts the natural flow. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the introduction, job details, application steps, and conclusion, but the referencing within sentences could be smoother.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary suitable for a friendly letter, including terms like 'customer service', 'advertisements', and 'communication skills'. There are some unnatural word choices and phrasing, such as 'asking some suggestion' instead of 'asking for suggestions', 'fresh comers' instead of 'freshers' or 'entry-level candidates', and referring to information as 'data'. Spelling and word formation are generally clear, but the lexical control is limited, meaning you attempt some less common vocabulary with occasional inaccuracies that slightly hinder natural expression.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The response features a mix of simple and complex sentence forms. You demonstrate control over some basic structures, but there are several grammatical errors and awkward phrasings throughout. For instance, 'I hope your doing great' contains a contraction error (should be 'you're'), 'an article about local company' lacks an article before 'local company', and 'that job will suits you' has a subject-verb agreement error. Furthermore, the sentence beginning with 'However, how to apply, so first...' is run-on and grammatically fragmented. These errors occur frequently enough to occasionally impede smooth reading, placing this section in the band 5.5 range.
