Dear Ajay,

I am feeling happy to share the job information, which is perfectly suitable for your experience, which you were looking for it since 1 year.

The job is the cook position in The Canadian Brew House restaurant in my city as they posted hiring post online on their social media accont as well as they sticks hiring poster everywhare in my area. The job duties are includes: cleaning, chopping, souce naking, meal preparing and many more.

As we were living togather 3 years togather in india, I saw your experties in all of these job requirement duties. As I know you are more enthusiastic to do the job in restauants and as much as I know that you have been actively searching for a job as a cook position, so this one is the best suitable for you.

If you want to apply for this position, then please go to their company's website, apply through them or else send me your resume, so I would print out and give to the store manager in the restaurant by walk-in.

I hope they will hire you and you will get your desired job in your core field.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The candidate successfully covers all three bullet points required by the prompt. First, the letter clearly tells the friend about the cook position at 'The Canadian Brew House' and outlines the daily duties such as 'cleaning, chopping, souce naking, meal preparing'. Second, it provides a clear reason why the job is suitable, referencing your past experience living together in India and your expertise. Third, it explains how to apply by pointing to the company website or offering to hand-deliver a resume directly to the store manager. The tone is appropriately informal and friendly throughout, matching the requirements of a General Training correspondence task. Although there are some minor linguistic slips, the purpose of the letter is fully achieved, aligning well with the Band 6 or Band 7 descriptors.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter exhibits a coherent overall arrangement with a clear beginning, body paragraphs addressing specific bullet points, and a standard friendly sign-off. However, paragraphing is somewhat blurred, as multiple distinct ideas are grouped together rather than neatly separated. Cohesive devices are occasionally repetitive or mechanical, such as the frequent use of 'and' and 'as' connectors (e.g., 'As we were living togather 3 years togather in india, I saw your experties...'). Referencing is mostly clear, though some sentence boundaries are run-on, affecting the natural flow. Despite these minor cohesive faults, the progression of ideas is easy to follow, placing this submission firmly in the Band 6 category.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary suitable for a personal letter, attempting some less common occupational phrases like 'core field' and 'store manager'. However, there are notable spelling and word-choice errors that detract from the precision of the writing. Examples include 'accont' instead of account, 'sticks' instead of sticks up or puts up, 'everywhare', 'souce naking' (sauce making), 'togather', and 'experties'. While these errors do not impede overall communication—the meaning remains clear to the reader—they occur frequently enough to prevent the score from reaching a Band 7. The vocabulary is minimally adequate for the task.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as conditional and causal clauses (e.g., 'If you want to apply for this position, then please go...'). However, grammatical accuracy is noticeably weak, featuring frequent errors such as tense and preposition misuse, like 'which you were looking for it since 1 year' and 'cook position' instead of 'cook's position'. There are also issues with subject-verb agreement and article usage, such as 'The job duties are includes'. Punctuation is basic, with several run-on sentences joined by commas rather than proper conjunctions or full stops. These errors cause some irritation for the reader, aligning the grammar score with Band 5.0.
