Dear Smith,

I hope you are doing well. It was great to hear that, you are considering looking for a job. In fact, I recently heard about a job at a local company in my city that I think could be a really good fit for you.

I recently heard about a job at local company name Greenland. They are basically looking for a full time employee for customer service representative. The main duties for this role is answering customer's questions, dealing with the complaints and help them to place orders and replying to emails. This company also provide a paid training and help to find an accommodation.

I think this job would be suitable for you because you have a pervious experience in the sales and those skills could be used as an asset such as good communication skills, team work and handling customers.

To apply for this position is a simple process, you just need to go to their website and fill out the application form and upload your most recent resume and CV letter.

I think it would be great opportunity for you. Let me know if you need any help.

Best wishes,

John

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The response successfully addresses all parts of the task prompt in a natural and friendly manner. You clearly tell your friend about the job at Greenland involving customer service duties like answering questions, handling complaints, and replying to emails. You also provide a solid explanation of why the position is suitable based on their previous sales experience and communication skills. Furthermore, you explain the application process by mentioning the company website, application form, resume, and CV letter. All bullet points are well-covered with sufficient detail and relevant ideas, meeting the requirements for a Band 7.0 performance.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The letter maintains a clear logical organisation and progression throughout. You begin with an appropriate opening greeting and a friendly introductory paragraph, followed by well-structured body paragraphs that each tackle a distinct bullet point from the prompt. Cohesive devices are used adequately, such as 'In fact,' 'The main duties,' and 'To apply for this position,' guiding the reader smoothly through the text. Paragraphing is used sufficiently and appropriately, separating the greeting, task details, suitability, application instructions, and closing remarks. Overall, this demonstrates clear coherence and cohesion consistent with a Band 7.0 score.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task and allows you to communicate your ideas clearly and effectively. You successfully incorporate functional phrases such as 'full time employee,' 'customer service representative,' and 'application form.' However, there are some slight lexical inaccuracies and unnatural collocations, such as writing 'CV letter' instead of 'cover letter' and 'pervious experience' instead of 'previous experience.' While you attempt less common items like 'suitable' and 'accommodation,' the range remains fairly standard. These minor errors do not impede communication, placing your lexical resource firmly at a Band 6.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

Your writing displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as 'In fact, I recently heard about a job at a local company in my city that I think could be a really good fit for you.' There are some noticeable grammatical errors and awkward punctuation, including a comma splice in the second sentence ('It was great to hear that, you are considering...') and subject-verb agreement issues like 'The main duties for this role is answering...' instead of 'are answering'. Additionally, 'provide a paid training' contains an unnecessary article. Despite these errors, they rarely impede communication, reflecting the characteristics of a Band 6.0 performance.
