Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You successfully cover all parts of the prompt by describing the customer service job at 'Precise parking', explaining why it suits your friend's personality and communication skills, and detailing how to apply using the link. The tone is appropriately informal and friendly throughout, matching the requirements of a general training letter to an acquaintance. To move into higher bands, your ideas could be extended and supported with greater depth or finer detail, rather than relying on slightly general statements about the work and the application process. However, your response remains clear, relevant, and fully addresses the communicative purpose of the task.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
Your letter demonstrates a clear and logical organisation from the opening greeting to the final sign-off. You effectively use paragraphing to separate distinct ideas, such as introducing the job in the second paragraph, explaining its suitability in the third, and outlining the application steps in the fourth. Cohesive devices are generally well managed, using transition words like 'Moreover' and 'Also' to connect your thoughts. While referencing is mostly clear, a slightly more flexible use of cohesive ties and smoother sentence transitions would help elevate the flow of your writing even further. Overall, the progression of your ideas is easy to follow throughout the response.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully using functional terms like 'vacancy', 'customer service representative', and 'recruiter'. However, there are noticeable errors in word choice and form, such as writing 'physical fit' instead of 'physically fit' and 'informaion' due to a spelling slip. Additionally, phrasing like 'receiving continuously call' contains grammatical interference that affects lexical accuracy. To achieve a higher band, you should aim to use less common lexical items with greater precision and ensure that collocations are natural and error-free, minimizing slips that occasionally distract the reader.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You display a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, successfully using structures such as 'I received your message regarding finding a job and I am glad to help you with that.' However, there are frequent grammatical errors in your writing, including tense and preposition slips like 'I have been known you' instead of 'I have known you', and missing articles or pluralisation issues in phrases like 'while using my phone' and 'with necessary documents'. While these errors rarely impede communication and your meaning remains clear, improving control over complex sentence structures and reducing basic grammatical inaccuracies will be necessary to reach higher proficiency.
