Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
The response only partially addresses the task requirements. While you successfully mention the job as a customer service representative and explain why it suits your friend due to their good communication skills, you completely fail to explain how to apply for the job, missing one of the core bullet points. Furthermore, the length requirement is not met, as the text contains only 144 words, falling short of the 150-word minimum. Ideas remain limited and under-developed, and the purpose of the letter is only partially fulfilled due to the missing application details.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is some basic organization with a clear salutation and an opening greeting, but the text lacks clear overall progression and paragraphing is underdeveloped, grouping distinct ideas into a single block. Cohesive devices are minimal and sometimes repetitive or inaccurate, such as 'In my hometown, there are many new organizations and companies are started thier business and so many postings are opend.' While the overall letter format is recognizable, referencing and logical transitions between sentences need substantial improvement to achieve a clearer flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task, containing noticeable spelling and word choice errors that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. Examples of errors include 'thier', 'opend', 'compkaints', and 'exrtovert'. Phrases like 'get to know about that' and 'deal with customers' show basic lexical control with occasional inaccuracies, and attempts at less common vocabulary are hindered by spelling mistakes and awkward collocations, keeping the lexical score at a basic level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
There is a very limited range of sentence structures, and attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty. Frequent grammatical errors include tense and verb form issues, such as 'companies are started thier business' and 'company has just established', as well as missing articles and preposition errors like 'role for customer services' instead of 'role as a customer service representative'. These frequent errors require the reader to decode the meaning, though the general intent remains understandable.
