Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the main bullets of the task partially, but important constraints are missed. Crucially, the length requirement is not met, as the text contains only 118 words, falling well short of the 150-word minimum. While you successfully mention a teaching job and touch upon why it is suitable through your friend's interest and the salary package, the details remain limited and under-developed. For instance, explaining the application process by simply telling your friend to 'go to the educational websites' lacks specific and realistic detail. To reach a higher level, you must fully develop all parts of the prompt with extended, detailed ideas and ensure you meet the minimum word count.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The letter shows some basic organization, but there is no clear overall progression of ideas. The entire body of the letter is compressed into a single, dense paragraph, lacking appropriate paragraphing to structure the distinct points about the job description, suitability, and application method. Furthermore, cohesive devices are inadequate and repetitive, relying heavily on basic sequencing such as 'Yesterday i was reading' and 'Now i will tell you'. Referencing is also somewhat imprecise in places. To improve, you should separate your ideas into clear paragraphs and use a wider, more natural variety of linking words and referencing phrases to guide the reader smoothly through the letter.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate to convey the basic message. You make noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and punctuation spacing, such as 'you are worry' instead of 'worried', and missing spaces after commas throughout the text. While you attempt some topic-related vocabulary like 'employment' and 'salary package', spelling and mechanical errors cause some distraction for the reader. To achieve a higher band, you need to use a wider range of vocabulary with greater precision, demonstrate better control of word forms and collocations, and pay careful attention to punctuation and spacing conventions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

Your writing displays a very limited range of grammatical structures. Most sentences are simple, and your attempts at complex structures are frequently faulty, such as the incorrect verb tense usage in 'if you have get this job'. There are frequent errors in basic grammar, including subject-verb agreement and pronoun usage, like 'i found that you are worry'. Punctuation errors are also prominent, including lowercase letters at the beginning of sentences following commas, like ',i found' and ',it will be'. These frequent errors require the reader to decode the meaning and can cause difficulty. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence structures, correct verb forms, and accurate punctuation.
