You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear ................. ,
Student answer (Band 7.0)
Dear Samantha,
I hope you are doing good. I was so delighted to receive your letter. It's been a while since we connected because of our busy schedules, but I miss you a lot.
I am writing to let you know that after looking for quite sometime, I have finally found a job which I think would be suitable for you.
A position is vacant in a renowned aligner company. They are looking for an orthodontist to work as a "Treatment Coordinator" for their team. It mainly involves reviewing treatment plans done by the dental technicians. You might also get to plan a case or two if they find it complicated.
In my opinion this is a perfect opportunity for you, because you already have experience working with these kind of companies. Additionally, I found that their working schedule is very flexible. You can work from home or from their office, which I thought would be perfect since you have to take care of your children. The ad also mentioned that they will help with the visa process too.
The application process is very simple, you can get it done from your conuntry. I will send you a form that I have already obtained from the company's HR. You just need to fill that form, write an application describing why they should hire you and email them along with your resume. After reviewing your application they will schedule an interview over zoom.
I know you will get this position very easily. I can't wait to see you, hopefully very soon. Say my love to the kids.
Best wishes,
Novaira

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.5
The response successfully addresses all parts of the task with a clear and appropriate tone suitable for a friend. You clearly explain the job and its duties, such as reviewing treatment plans as a Treatment Coordinator for an aligner company. You also provide strong reasons why it suits Samantha, highlighting her prior experience and the flexible work schedule which accommodates her children. Furthermore, you explain the application process clearly by mentioning the HR form, email submission, and online interview. While all bullet points are covered well, some ideas show a slight tendency to be straightforward rather than deeply elaborated, which places the response securely at this level. To reach higher bands, you could extend the explanation of the work duties with more imaginative or vivid detail about the company culture or day-to-day environment.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The letter exhibits a clear logical organisation and progression from the warm opening to the closing remarks. Paragraphing is used sufficiently and appropriately, with distinct paragraphs dedicated to the greeting, the purpose of writing, job details, suitability, application steps, and sign-off. Cohesive devices such as 'additionally', 'after reviewing', and 'in my opinion' are used to connect ideas smoothly. However, referencing is occasionally a bit mechanical, and transitions between sentences could sometimes flow more naturally. To achieve a higher band, you could make the transitions even more seamless and employ a wider variety of advanced cohesive phrasing without overusing standard linking markers.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'renowned', 'orthodontist', 'Treatment Coordinator', and 'visa process'. However, there are some minor word-choice and spelling errors that prevent a higher score, such as 'doing good' instead of 'doing well', 'sometime' written as one word instead of 'some time', and the typo 'conuntry'. These lexical slips are noticeable but do not impede communication. To move into higher bands, you should refine your spelling and use more sophisticated phrasing and collocations with greater precision, ensuring that uncommon lexical items are deployed without error.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.5
The response features a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating good control over sentence structures such as 'I am writing to let you know that after looking for quite sometime, I have finally found a job...' You manage punctuation and verb tenses reasonably well, and your grammatical errors are relatively infrequent, rarely impeding communication. Examples of minor slips include the prepositional phrasing 'these kind of companies' instead of 'this kind of company'. Because you present a good mix of structures with several error-free sentences while maintaining clear control, you meet the requirements of this band well. To push higher, you would need to increase the proportion of error-free complex sentences and eliminate minor agreement inconsistencies.
