Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The letter covers all three required points: you introduce a customer-service vacancy, give some duties and qualities sought, explain why Umer may suit it, and tell him to apply by email. The personal reference to his punctuality makes the recommendation relevant. However, the job description is not fully clear: “resolve the customers’ problems” and “specialization in CS” leave the actual daily work and the meaning of CS unexplained. The application instructions are also brief; you mention an email address beneath the advertisement but do not say what to send or offer to share the advert. These details make some parts less developed, while the purpose and overall message remain clear.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall sequence: greeting and opening, information about the vacancy, reasons for recommending Umer, application advice, and a suitable closing. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these stages, and connectors such as “Moreover,” “Therefore,” and “Lastly” guide the reader. Some links feel mechanical or do not express the relationship precisely. For example, “Therefore” does not clearly connect the employer’s preference for overseas education with your memory of Umer, and “Lastly” introduces application details rather than a concluding point. The job information would also be easier to follow if the duties, requirements, and application steps were grouped more distinctly. Overall, the organisation is coherent, though cohesion is not always smooth.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the topic, including “customer service,” “communication skills,” “punctual,” and “apply.” There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “job description” and “specialization,” but several choices or spellings are inaccurate and make the letter sound less natural. Examples include “a job of customer service” instead of a natural job title or field, “associated with the Ireland,” and “email-adress.” “Searching employment” is also an awkward collocation. These issues do not prevent the reader from understanding the main message, but they limit precision and control. Aim for conventional workplace phrases and check spelling, especially in the job details.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The response includes both simple sentences and attempts at longer structures, such as “after watching the advertisement … I remember you are searching employment.” The main message is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “It associated with the Ireland” is missing a verb, “candidate should know” needs an appropriate article or plural form, and “You was punctual” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. In “The requirements … are, candidate should know …,” the sentence structure and punctuation are also faulty. These examples show that more complex ideas are attempted, but control is not consistent. Practise complete clause structures, agreement, and articles, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
