Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0

You identify that there is a job at the company where you work and mention staff, facilities, and working hours, so the response is relevant to the situation. However, the letter is incomplete: it does not explain what the warehouse work involves, give a clear reason why Aarti’s skills or experience make her suitable, or tell her how to apply. The opening also runs directly into the job information, leaving the purpose unclear. The response is substantially below the required minimum length, which limits how fully you can address the three bullet points. To improve, develop each point with specific details, such as duties, relevant qualities, and application steps, and finish with an appropriate closing.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.0

The response has a basic letter opening and introduces the job, so the reader can identify the general topic. However, the ideas are compressed into one continuous sequence: the greeting, a question about your friend, your workplace, reasons for suitability, and hours are not separated or clearly connected. The phrase “first how are you” does not establish a clear transition, and the final “and” leaves the message unfinished. Use separate paragraphs for the greeting and purpose, job details and suitability, and application instructions. Linking phrases such as “The role involves…” and “To apply…” would make the progression easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use a small set of relevant words, including “company,” “warehouse,” “staff,” “facilities,” and “employees,” which communicates the general employment context. However, the vocabulary is limited and some phrases are imprecise or unnatural, such as “so many staff is working” and “The time is fix.” More specific job-related language would help explain the role and make the letter sound natural. For example, describe duties with terms such as “packing orders,” “checking stock,” or “handling deliveries,” if accurate. You could also use “working hours” rather than “time” and “fixed” rather than “fix.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts to communicate several connected ideas, and the basic meaning is partly understandable. However, sentence boundaries and grammatical relationships are often unclear. In “I am writing this letter, a suitable job for you, first how are you,” several ideas are joined without a complete structure or appropriate punctuation. “There are so many staff is working” also has an agreement and verb-form problem, while “The time is fix” uses an incorrect form after “is.” The response relies on simple constructions and does not yet show a controlled range of sentence forms. Practise writing one complete idea per sentence, checking subject–verb agreement, verb forms, and punctuation.
