Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0

You begin appropriately with “Dear Neha” and introduce a possible local job, identifying it as involving data and funds management. However, the response is far too brief to address the task adequately: it contains 65 words, below the required 150. The job duties are only sketched, and you do not explain why the role suits Neha or how she should apply. These are two essential bullet points, so the letter responds only partially and its ideas remain very limited. To improve, develop each point with specific details—for example, connect the duties to her experience, then give a contact person, application method, and deadline. A complete closing would also make the letter feel finished.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The opening establishes the purpose, and “First of all” signals that you are moving into the job description. This gives the short response a basic sense of organisation. However, there is no clear progression beyond that point: the letter stops before explaining suitability or application, and the single body paragraph does not separate the task’s different ideas. The linking phrase is also not followed by further stages or supporting details. Organise the letter into a brief opening, a paragraph describing the role and why it fits Neha, and a final paragraph explaining how to apply. Use clear links such as “Because you have experience in…” and “To apply, you should…” to guide the reader.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “job,” “company,” “manage,” and “data,” so the reader can identify the general nature of the opportunity. However, the range is limited, and several choices are inaccurate or unnatural: “the job is about the data and funds management” and “manage their all expensive” do not clearly express the intended duties. “Very close from my residence” is also an awkward way to describe the location. These errors make parts of the message difficult to understand, which is consistent with a limited but minimally adequate vocabulary range. Use more precise job-related terms, such as “financial records,” “expenses,” “data entry,” and “near my home,” and check that each phrase fits its meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response includes simple sentences and an attempt at a longer structure, particularly “they need someone who can manage… along with this can handle…”. This shows an effort to combine related duties, but the construction is faulty: the two actions are not grammatically parallel, and the second clause lacks a clear subject. There are also errors in sentence formation and articles, as in “the job is about the data and funds management” and “in a big company.” The opening “Hope you are doing well” is acceptable in an informal letter, but the overall range remains narrow and errors recur. Build accurate sentences first, then add variety—for example, “The company needs someone who can manage expenses and handle data professionally.”
