Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
You address all three points clearly: you describe the data-analyst role, connect it to Manel’s applied mathematics degree and interest in problem-solving, and explain that an application should be sent by email with a résumé. The job duties are specific, including analysing data with AI models, supporting product-selection decisions, and meeting clients. This gives the letter a clear purpose and supports your recommendation. To make the ideas more fully developed, clarify practical details that would help your friend act on the opportunity, such as the company name, where to find the vacancy, or what information to include in the email. The application instructions are relevant but currently quite general.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The letter has a clear progression: you introduce the opportunity, describe the work, explain why it suits Manel, and finish with application advice and a friendly closing. Paragraphing helps distinguish these functions, and linking phrases such as “In addition” and “Also” make relationships between ideas clear. The overall organisation is easy to follow. To strengthen cohesion further, connect the job title more smoothly to the description and suitability paragraph, rather than introducing it as a separate, abrupt statement. A few transitions could also be more natural, and the final encouragement would work better as a complete closing sentence. Continue using clear paragraphing while varying how you link related details.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for describing a technical role, including “AI models,” “decision making process,” “project plan,” and “complex problems.” These choices make the opportunity understandable and relevant to the recipient. There are, however, some spelling and word-choice errors, including “suitibale,” “conterbute,” “analyste,” and “inteview.” Some phrases are also imprecise or unnatural, such as “company mail adress” and “finding a job here.” These do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, but they limit precision and polish. Check spelling carefully and choose conventional employment terms, such as “job posting,” “data analyst,” and “application email.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, for example, “I think you are…” and the sentence explaining how the role involves solving problems and contributing to decisions. The main ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors affect accuracy. Examples include “Thanks for reaching to me” (the pattern is “thanks for reaching out to me”), “you are suitable” (not “you are suitibale”), and “it matchs perfectly you education,” where the verb form and possessive structure need correction. There are also sentence-boundary and capitalisation issues, such as starting “you will” with a lowercase letter after a full stop. Review verb forms, articles, possessives, and sentence punctuation; more consistently accurate complex sentences would improve control.
