Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address the three requested points: you identify a labouring role at Amazon, connect it to your friend’s gym experience, and offer to guide him through an online application. The friendly tone also suits a letter to someone you know. However, the job description is quite general: “physical strength” and “three days a week” do not explain the actual duties, and the claim about openings and wages is not supported with useful detail. The application instructions mention tests and an interview, but do not say what information or documents to prepare or how to find the vacancy. Develop these details so each part of the task is covered more fully and clearly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter has a clear overall arrangement: greeting and personal news, job suggestions, reasons for recommending the role, application help, and a friendly closing. Paragraph breaks make the main stages easy to follow, and phrases such as “First of all” and “On top of that” help connect ideas. Some links are less effective or the progression becomes unclear. The list of several unrelated positions interrupts the focus on the Amazon labour role, while “I have couple of suggestions” is followed by only one developed recommendation. The opening also shifts quickly from catching up to welcoming Raj to Canada. Keep the letter centred on the suitable vacancy and use references that make each point’s connection explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a reasonable range for an informal letter, including job-related terms such as “labour worker,” “opening,” “apply online,” and “interview,” alongside an appropriately warm tone. Meaning is generally understandable, but several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “shifted to the Kitchener,” “sort listed,” “physical strength,” and “apply a job.” “Splendidly” and “leisure activities” are more formal or elaborate than the surrounding conversational style, so the register is not always consistent. Choose more natural expressions for relocation, job duties, and applying, and use precise vocabulary to describe the work rather than relying on broad labels. This would make the message clearer and more fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, for example, “I think you should really apply a job for labour worker at Amazon” and “I will guide you through this and you can apply on site.” The main message remains understandable, but errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction are noticeable. Examples include “I recently go through” instead of a past-tense form, “I know you doing gym,” “They offers,” and “This job involve.” There are also missing articles in phrases such as “I have couple of suggestions” and “apply a job.” Review subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, and proofread punctuation and quotation marks. More accurate control of these forms would make your varied sentences easier to read.
