Student answer (Band 6.5)
Dear Rashid,
I hope you are doing well. I am very happy after knowing that you want to work in my country and I am writing to inform you about a job opportunity in a local organization that would be suitable for you.
Firstly, I want to tell you about job in a private healthcare hospital located nearby my house. Moreover, in an hospital advertisement they mentioned that they want to hire a physical therapist who have a clinical experience related to musculoskeletal disorders.
In addition to this, I believe that this job would be a better option for you to work as a physiotherapist in a highly recognized hospital in my area because you have also done masters in Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation and also have three years of international clinical experience.
Another important point is that you have to apply before the due date. Initially, you open website on internet and fill the application form. One more thing, it is crucial to attach your educational documents and working experience in soft form with the original job application and lastly pay challan through online banking application.
I hope you would find my suggestion helpful and you would allow to contact me for any help without hesitation.
I am looking forward for your reply.
Kind regards,
Nosheen

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.5
You address all three points clearly: you describe a physiotherapy vacancy at a local hospital, explain its relevance to Rashid’s qualifications and experience, and outline an online application process. The specific link to his master’s degree and three years of clinical experience makes your recommendation convincing, while the friendly opening and closing suit the relationship. To make the job description more fully developed, add a detail about the therapist’s likely duties, since the response mainly identifies the required experience rather than explaining what the work involves. The application instructions are useful, but clarifying the deadline or where to find the vacancy would make them more complete. Overall, the purpose is clear and the ideas are relevant and supported.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The letter has a clear progression from greeting and purpose, to the vacancy, its suitability, and application instructions, followed by an appropriate closing. Paragraphing helps the reader distinguish these stages, and signposts such as “In addition to this” and “Another important point” make the sequence easy to follow. Some linking is a little mechanical, however: “Firstly,” “Moreover,” and “In addition to this” repeatedly announce the next point rather than connecting ideas more naturally. The application paragraph also strings several steps together in one sequence. You could improve flow by grouping the application steps into a more smoothly structured sentence and using fewer explicit transitions. References remain clear throughout.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is adequate for the purpose and includes relevant terms such as “physical therapist,” “musculoskeletal disorders,” “clinical experience,” and “educational documents.” These choices communicate the job and Rashid’s suitability clearly. You also attempt more formal expressions, including “highly recognized hospital” and “due date,” although some phrases are not natural or precise in this context. For example, “after knowing” and “pay challan” are awkward collocations, and “soft form” would be clearer as a standard term for digital documents. Aim for natural phrasing rather than adding formality: “I was pleased to hear” and “submit the application fee online” would sound more fluent. The message remains understandable despite these word-choice issues.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including the relative clause in “a local organization that would be suitable for you” and the reason introduced by “because.” Most ideas are understandable, but some grammatical errors remain. In “a physical therapist who have,” the verb should agree with the singular subject (“has”); “in an hospital” needs the article “a”; and “you would allow to contact me” needs a passive form such as “you would be welcome to contact me.” There are also missing articles in phrases such as “about job” and “open website.” These errors rarely prevent understanding, but checking agreement, articles, and verb patterns would improve accuracy and make the letter more polished.
