Student answer (Band 6.5)
Dear Ajay,
I hope you are doing well. I am writing in response to your letter and I am glad to inform you that I have found one job opportunities which is aligned with your skills and previous training.
This job is posted on LinkedIn and Hirist portal. I cross check with in the company's website also and believe me this is a reliable job for you. The designation is QA Intern and the work involves what you have already done in your past training such as checking the application's or website's workflow, reporting issues and coordinating with respective team members. Before the release, you must create and share reports to your reporting manager.
Moreover, your logical approach to solve tricky problems and capacity to think out of the box is something that makes this candidature preferable for you. while performing testing on these applications you have to think out of the box and try testing using different scenarios to check the loopholes.
I would suggest that you visit the company's official website, navigate to the Careers section, and apply for the position directly.
I look forward to hearing from you. All the best for your future.
Yours sincerely
Aashima

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
You address all three points clearly: you describe the QA Intern role and its testing and reporting duties, explain that Ajay’s training and problem-solving approach suit it, and direct him to apply through the company’s Careers section. The letter is appropriately personal and maintains a clear purpose. The job description is usefully specific, especially the reference to checking workflows and reporting issues. To make the ideas more fully developed, add practical details such as the company name, location, deadline, or documents needed, and explain briefly what Ajay’s previous training involved. This would make the opportunity more concrete and the advice more tailored rather than relying partly on general claims about his suitability.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The letter has a clear progression from the reason for writing, to the job details, to suitability and application instructions, followed by a suitable closing. Paragraphing helps the reader distinguish these functions, and linking expressions such as “Moreover” and “I would suggest” guide the sequence. The main weakness is some repetition: the idea of thinking “out of the box” appears twice in the suitability paragraph, and the second sentence largely restates the first. The transition into that sentence is also disrupted by the lowercase “while” after a full stop. Remove the repeated point or use the space to add a new reason, such as how Ajay’s specific experience matches the role.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.5
You use a relevant range of job-related vocabulary, including “QA Intern,” “workflow,” “reporting issues,” “release,” and “Careers section,” which makes the role understandable. There are also attempts at more precise expressions such as “logical approach” and “loopholes.” However, several choices are awkward or imprecise: “one job opportunities” does not fit grammatically or naturally, “cross check with in the company’s website” is unclear, and “this candidature preferable” is not idiomatic. “Respective team members” is also less natural than a simpler phrase such as “relevant team members.” More consistent control of collocations and word forms would make the vocabulary more flexible and natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex structures, including the relative clause in “which is aligned with your skills” and the conditional-style explanation beginning “while performing testing.” Most sentences communicate the intended meaning, and the letter’s overall structure is easy to follow. Some grammatical errors remain, however. In “one job opportunities,” the singular determiner conflicts with the plural noun; “I cross check with in the company’s website” has an incorrect preposition pattern; and “the capacity … is something that makes this candidature preferable” has an unclear grammatical construction. The sentence beginning “while” also starts with a lowercase letter after a full stop. Review agreement, articles, prepositions, and sentence boundaries, while retaining your attempts at longer structures.
