Student answer (Band 6.5)

In this hectic world, tidiness becomes crucial part of people's life not only organise the house place but also working areas. This essay will discuss the advantages of organising home and job areas and also provide my viewpoints on it.

To begin with , work places always should be well- mantain and well-organised as workers done their jobs before deadlines. For instance, In multinational company, if employees are not placing the documents on their right places than they will mess up with their work and not meet with deadlines. Therefore, this approach leads to the poor growth of this company.

Moreover, in houses , each and every things must be tidy because most of the families have children from toalders to school- going kids , besides, for them their parents need to arrange everything well so that children will not harm themsleves from harmful elements as well as this will also contribute their overall growth. For example, parents are the first teacher for their children, who teach them fundamental things like; cleaning things, tidiness that become habits in their future as well. Hence, it is important to make the home tidy.

In my opinion, After discussing organising both home and work places , I believe that these are the leading factors as individuals must be focus on both areas to having tidiness which makes tidy work environment makes efficient and tidy home becomes growing path for the children's well growth. As a result, keeping house and job places tidy improve society's well being.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the importance of tidiness in both home and workplace settings. The position is clear throughout the essay. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding workplace productivity is supported by a generic example, but the connection between tidiness and 'poor growth' is not fully explained. Similarly, the point about children is relevant but could be expanded with more sophisticated reasoning. The essay meets the requirements of the task, but the depth of analysis is more characteristic of a Band 6.0, as some points are under-developed.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'As a result', though some transitions feel slightly mechanical. The progression of ideas is generally clear, although the final paragraph is somewhat repetitive and contains awkward phrasing that slightly disrupts the flow. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two main themes of the workplace and the home. Overall, the structure is coherent, but the logical flow within sentences could be improved for a higher band.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. There are several instances of awkward word choices, such as 'house place' instead of 'home environment' and 'well-mantain' (a grammatical error affecting lexical accuracy). Phrases like 'mess up with their work' are informal and imprecise. While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'multinational company' and 'fundamental things', the range is limited. To achieve a higher score, the student should focus on using more precise collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing like 'tidy' and 'tidiness' throughout the text.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Examples include 'tidiness becomes crucial part' (missing article), 'workers done their jobs' (incorrect tense), and 'each and every things' (subject-verb agreement). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary spaces before commas and semicolons. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. The student should focus on basic sentence construction, article usage, and verb tense consistency.
