Student answer (Band 6.5)

It has become a general opinion that it is important to keep homes and workplace tidy, with everything organized and in correct place.

Keeping our house and workplace clean and tidy at all time in my opinion is something that is required of everyone to do at all time. Doing this not only create a clean environment for us to live in but also health prevent us from diseases.

There is a say that goes this way "cleanness is next to Godliness" meaning that keeping one's environment clean is as good as being a Godly person. Keep our souranding clean and tidy helps protect us from preventable diseases that are associated with dirty places such material and cholera. For example in my years of experience as a health practitioner, 80 percent of cholera cases in children is directly associated with living in dirty environments. Further more aside keeping our house clean and tidy for the sole purpose of healthy living, it's cosmetically appealing to be in a well tidy office or home.

Secondly keeping a healthy, clean and tidy home or workplace environment has a lot to say about us, borrowing an insight from a word of wisdom that says " dress the way you will love to be addressed" meaning that people will rate our intellectual capacity with way we organize our environment. For instance on a rainy day people will prefer to walk on the rain than take shelter in a smelly and unkept place.

In conclusion, I strongly support my opinion that it's important for us to keep our home and workplace clean and tidy at all times given it's cosmetically appealing and health benefits that comes with such

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You have addressed the prompt by providing a clear opinion on the importance of maintaining a tidy environment. You support your position with relevant arguments regarding health and personal image. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the link between 'intellectual capacity' and a tidy environment is asserted but not fully explored or logically connected to the example provided about a rainy day. To reach a higher band, ensure that each supporting point is fully explained with clear, logical steps rather than relying on general proverbs or anecdotes that are not fully integrated into the argument.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from health benefits to personal reputation. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Secondly' and 'For instance' to link your thoughts. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as the transition 'Further more aside keeping our house clean'. Additionally, some sentences lack smooth flow, making the transition between ideas feel abrupt. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that referencing (e.g., 'this', 'such') is precise will help improve the flow of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'cosmetically appealing' and 'intellectual capacity'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'health prevent us from diseases' (should be 'helps prevent') and 'well tidy office' (should be 'well-tidied' or 'organized'). There are also minor spelling errors like 'souranding' and 'cleanness'. To improve, focus on using collocations correctly and proofreading for basic spelling errors to ensure your vocabulary is used with greater precision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('Doing this not only create') and missing articles or prepositions ('in correct place', 'walk on the rain'). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they are frequent enough to impact the overall fluency. To achieve a higher score, focus on consistent subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles, as well as ensuring that your complex sentences are punctuated correctly.
