Student answer (Band 7.0)
A majority of people believe that keeping workplace tidy and well organized either at home or office is really important. I firmly believe with the statement of keeping workstation arranged and clean.
There are so many reasons to support the fact that keeping everything properly organized make everyday life easy. One notable reason is, it give motivation to get up and work calmly. I believe, organized working place give motivation to people to work more effective and productive. Working environment matter a lot in term of overall production of a company. I had seen in so many places if the opening of shift is full of chaos, rest of day becomes stressful and less productive. Second important reason to satisfy my argument is, organized and tidy workplace make overall work flow better. It makes work smooth and easy. For example if someone has to manage multiple task, it would be easy to find all the equipment and hence overall work flow would be improved.
Additionally, it give sense of responsibility. Now a days, due to small office infrastructure, many employees share workstation. Keeping workplace clean makes both yours and your colleague work life easier. Lastly, it helps in generating new idea and innovation. Many of us have observed, meeting are usually held in a quiet peaceful environment with really decent wall work so everything looks tidy. It helps in generating ideas and think critically. Even I personally feel when I study on study table instead of my bed, i think way more in depth.
Overall, there is no harm saying, keeping home and workplace tidy, organized and in the right place is really important in many aspects.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.5
You have addressed all parts of the prompt, clearly stating your position in the introduction and maintaining it throughout the essay. You provided several relevant reasons, such as increased productivity, improved workflow, and the promotion of innovation. While your ideas are relevant, some points could be further extended with more specific examples to reach a higher band. For instance, the example regarding studying on a table versus a bed is a good personal touch, but the explanation of how a tidy environment specifically fosters innovation could be more detailed. Overall, the response is well-focused and directly answers the question.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use transition signals such as 'One notable reason', 'Second important reason', 'Additionally', and 'Lastly' to guide the reader through your arguments. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes a bit mechanical. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas. To improve, try to vary your linking words and ensure that referencing (e.g., 'it', 'this') is always precise to avoid ambiguity. The progression of ideas is generally smooth and easy to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'infrastructure', 'innovation', and 'productive'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'wall work' (likely meaning decor or interior design) and 'workstation arranged' (should be 'organized'). You also have some minor errors in word forms, such as 'work more effective' instead of 'more effectively'. While these errors do not impede communication, they limit your score. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise collocations would help elevate your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the' is often missing), subject-verb agreement ('environment matter' instead of 'matters'), and pluralization ('meeting are' instead of 'meetings are'). These errors are noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding your points. To reach a higher band, focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, specifically ensuring that verbs agree with their subjects and that articles are used correctly before nouns.
