Student answer (Band 6.0)
A number of people believe that it is crucial to keep our living area and workplace neat, clean and organised. I agree with the standpoint and will discuss both the viewpoints.
To comment with, the reason why a few individuals say that we should keep our home and working area clean is that it is easy to find items when they are at proper places. To expound, since if we do not put things at designated places, we will not be able to remember where they are. However, if we return the items at proper places after use, we can easily find them again.. To exemplify, I remember during my college days, I was careless and extremely unorganised. I use to throw my items all around. As a result, next morning I was unable to find my car keys and this was a pattern that my flatmate noticed. That repeatedly created a formidable situation until I learned to organize and put things back at correct places.
Furthermore, it is proven that our brain feels what our eyes see. To elaborte, since when we see an accident, we feel the pain because our eyes are connect to our mind. If our workplace and home are cluttered and unorganized, then our brain will also feel the mess and it will irritated and frustrated. Hence the above-mentioned points illustrate that why some people believe that it is indispensable to keep your hoe and workplace tidy and well-organized. For example, meditation places are always clean and organised because people come there for a serene and clam environment and to bring peace to their mind.
To conclude, this essay has discussed about the plausible reasons such as easy to locate items and peace of mind for keeping our workplace and home clean. I reiterate that it is vital to keep our house and work area organised.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear opinion and providing relevant reasons. However, the introduction states that the essay will 'discuss both the viewpoints,' which is slightly confusing as the prompt asks for your opinion, not a balanced discussion of two sides. The ideas are relevant, such as the ease of locating items and the psychological impact of a tidy environment. While the arguments are supported with personal examples, the development is somewhat repetitive. To reach a higher band, ensure the introduction clearly reflects the task requirements and focus on extending the analysis of your main points rather than just listing them.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Furthermore,' 'To conclude,' and 'As a result,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or awkward, such as 'To comment with,' which is not a standard English phrase. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally repetitive. The paragraphing is appropriate, and the overall structure is easy to follow, but more variety in linking words and smoother transitions between sentences would improve the flow and coherence of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing for clear communication. You use some good collocations like 'formidable situation' and 'indispensable.' However, there are several word choice errors and minor spelling mistakes, such as 'elaborte' instead of 'elaborate,' 'hoe' instead of 'home,' and 'clam' instead of 'calm.' The phrase 'our brain feels what our eyes see' is a bit simplistic. To improve, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensure careful proofreading to eliminate basic spelling errors that detract from the professional tone of the essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'I use to throw' (should be 'used to'), 'eyes are connect to' (should be 'connected to'), and 'it will irritated' (should be 'it will be irritated'). There are also issues with subject-verb agreement and missing articles. While you attempt complex sentences, the accuracy is inconsistent. To improve, focus on mastering basic verb tenses and ensuring that your complex structures are grammatically sound, as these frequent errors prevent the essay from reaching a higher band score.
