Student answer (Band 6.0)
Many people say that it is crucial to keep your house and office clean, with locating everything in correct place. I completely agree with this statement wether it is your home or your workplace all areas should be neat and clean.
Firstly, one major reason that I agree with this because the personality of an individual's is defined by his appearance and how he use to keep his things. For instance, if you are new hire at a job the first thing you will notice is, how the work tables of different colleagues are presented. The associate with clean and tidy work desk will be defined as a gentleman even you haven't met that person. On the other side, one with a mess in his area will be considered as a poor first impression even the employee himself is humble. In addition, people with higher IQ tend to keep their stuff organised. Furthermore, this does not only apply to keep your things tidy. This also implies on personal hygiene and cleanliness if you use a decent perfume people feel comfortable around you but, if your body odour is stingy humans avoid to interact with you. One of my colleagues, faced the same issue he used to play cricket in the lunch break and his sweat had a detrimental smell then I recommended him to use a nice cologne. Now everyone likes to talk to him.
In conclusion, I strongly agree that we need to organise everything in such a way that others and the environment doesn't have any negative impact due to individual habits. The offices and school should conduct seminar to spread awareness about tidiness.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear opinion on the importance of tidiness. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the link between tidiness and professional perception is well-argued, the transition to personal hygiene and body odour is a slight digression from the core topic of 'organising your home and workplace'. The argument regarding IQ is asserted without sufficient evidence or explanation. To reach a higher band, ensure that all supporting points directly relate to the prompt's focus on organisation and tidiness, and provide more depth to the reasoning rather than shifting to tangential topics like cologne usage.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear introduction and conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly', 'In addition', and 'Furthermore', though some are used mechanically. The progression of ideas is generally logical, but the connection between the paragraph on professional tidiness and the subsequent point about personal hygiene is abrupt. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'This also implies on personal hygiene', where the link to the previous argument is weak. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and sophistication required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward word choices or incorrect collocations, such as 'locating everything in correct place' (should be 'keeping everything in its correct place') and 'detrimental smell' (which is an incorrect collocation; 'unpleasant' or 'offensive' would be better). The range is somewhat limited, relying on basic descriptors. To improve, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensuring that collocations are natural and contextually appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Examples include 'how he use to keep' (should be 'uses'), 'if you are new hire' (missing article 'a'), and 'The associate with clean and tidy work desk' (missing article 'a'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage, such as 'even you haven't met' and 'but, if your body odour'. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and article usage will yield significant improvements.
