Student answer (Band 6.0)

Most of the population of the Earth wants to keep their places clean and organized. For this, some believe that it is a necessary thing to keep all things clean and put them away well. There are lots of opinions about it, and I will discussed further below.

Firstly, Everyone likes tidy places because they create a positive impact on our minds and make our place beautiful. For instance, when we are going to the workplace and if we find the place clean in the morning, then it gives us positive energy at the workplace; on the other hand, if the place is dirty, then it changes our thoughts and attention to work. We always see this type of scenario in fast food industries, as morning managers and crew always complain about the night person if they did not make tidiness.

In addition to this, some people like to organize their own stuffs very well. If it is not organized very well, then they always seem frustrated and angry. Moreover, they always spend their own time putting all stuffs at perfect places because they are believing that it became easy for them to find out easily. On the other hand, some people believe that stocking and organizing is a waste of time because it takes a long time and disturbs their schedules.

To conclude this, it is always a debatable question in the world as people always have different priorities to focus on in their lives. In my view, Organizing and tidiness should be important in everyone's lives.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt and provides a clear opinion, though the development of ideas is somewhat limited. You discuss the benefits of tidiness in the workplace and the personal preference for organization, which is relevant. However, the arguments could be more thoroughly extended. For instance, the example regarding fast-food industries is a good start but lacks depth. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is fully explored with more detailed reasoning or broader implications. Your position is consistent throughout, which is a strength, but the conclusion is quite brief and could better summarize the main arguments presented in the body paragraphs.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'In addition to this', and 'On the other hand' to link your thoughts. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally repetitive. For example, the phrase 'some people' is used frequently, which makes the flow slightly predictable. To improve, try to vary your linking words and ensure that the relationship between sentences is more fluid. The paragraphing is appropriate, and each paragraph has a central focus, which helps the reader follow your argument easily.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'organized', 'tidiness', and 'workplace'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there are instances of slightly unnatural word choices, such as 'putting all stuffs at perfect places' and 'make tidiness'. 'Stuffs' is an uncountable noun and should not be pluralized. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and a wider variety of vocabulary to express your ideas with greater sophistication. Avoiding informal phrasing will also help elevate the tone of your writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors that occur throughout the text. For example, 'I will discussed' should be 'I will discuss', and 'they are believing' should be 'they believe'. Additionally, there are minor issues with article usage and verb tense consistency. While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and ensure that your verb tenses are used correctly in context. Proofreading for small slips will significantly enhance the accuracy of your writing.
