Student answer (Band 6.0)

Some individual believe that it's important to keep living space and office tidy, well organized and allocating the things back to it's own designated place. I strongly agree with the view because it help us to stay focused and help us to get us things easily.

The foremost primary reason why I agree is that we won't get distracted from our goal or the things we are doing. This is because our overall focus will be on one task. For instance, if I am working on an important assignment and I have few other files on my desk, i would get distracted from my assignment and start working on other assignment without finishing the first.

Another important reason is if we allot a designated place for a designated thing, we can find stuff easily whenever it's needed. As a result, it will save time in finding and it will be easily available. For example, If i need an nail clipper I can easily find it if it has designated location or else it my be more time consuming in finding it.

Lastly, if we keep your home and work place organized it help others too find it easily. Let say, if an associate need anything from my office and I am not available at the moment, I can ask him to see the folders which is created for particular task will make their work easy to find.

In conclusion, I completely agree with the statement of keeping our home, workplace and everything organized help us to grow and it's really very important for the lifestyle.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position in favor of organization at home and work. The ideas are relevant, covering focus, efficiency, and shared utility. However, the development is somewhat repetitive. For instance, the second and third paragraphs both focus on the theme of 'finding things easily' or 'saving time,' which limits the depth of the argument. To reach a higher band, you should aim to explore different facets of the topic, such as the psychological benefits of a tidy environment or the impact on professional reputation, rather than focusing primarily on the mechanics of finding misplaced items.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central idea. Cohesive devices such as 'The foremost primary reason,' 'Another important reason,' and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Let say' instead of 'Let us say' or 'Let's assume.' Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the final paragraph where 'it's really very important for the lifestyle' is vague. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the message to be conveyed clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'designated place' and 'distracted.' However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'Some individual believe' (should be 'Some individuals believe') and 'get us things easily' (should be 'retrieve items'). The range is somewhat limited, relying on basic descriptors. To improve, try to incorporate more precise synonyms and collocations related to productivity and organizational habits to demonstrate a wider lexical range.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('it help us,' 'it's really very important') and article usage. There are also minor punctuation and spelling errors, such as 'i' instead of 'I' and 'an nail clipper.' These errors occur throughout the text and, while they do not impede communication, they prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for basic agreement and capitalization would significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
