Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear opinion in favor of keeping environments tidy. However, the development of ideas is limited. The argument regarding productivity is relevant, but the example provided about 'bugs' causing death is hyperbolic and lacks credibility, which weakens the overall persuasiveness of the essay. The response covers all parts of the task, but the supporting points are somewhat repetitive and lack depth. To improve, you should focus on providing more logical, real-world examples and expanding on the benefits of organization beyond just stress reduction or basic hygiene.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'in additionally' and 'In my prospective'. The progression of ideas is sometimes disjointed, particularly in the transition between the second and third paragraphs. While the reader can follow the general argument, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the repetitive sentence structures make the flow feel somewhat stilted. Improving the variety of transition signals and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'fell' instead of 'feel', 'there' instead of 'their', and 'thinks' instead of 'things'. The vocabulary is quite repetitive, relying on basic terms like 'organize', 'clean', and 'work'. To achieve a higher score, you should aim to incorporate more topic-specific collocations and synonyms, such as 'clutter-free', 'efficiency', or 'conducive to productivity', and pay closer attention to spelling and word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex sentences, but grammatical accuracy is a significant issue. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'to organize things are very crucial'), pronoun usage (e.g., 'keep there home'), and verb tense consistency. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after commas and periods. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of basic grammatical errors hinders the overall quality of the writing. Focusing on mastering basic sentence structures and proofreading for common errors like 'there/their' and 'fell/feel' will help improve your score.
