Student answer (Band 6.5)
Many individuals opine that it is imperative to maintain cleanliness and organize both house and office meticulously. This is because not only tidiness has been associated with mental clarity, but also with religious rituals and improved hygiene. I strongly support this paradigm due to conventions established by progenitors, and its direct relation to personal development and hygiene practices.
The primary catalyst is cleanliness and absence of clutter has been linked with enhanced mental clarity and clear thinking. It has been well documented in the studies that individuals can think better when their surroundings are neat and clean. As a result, they are in a better position to organize their thoughts and actions, which help them excel in their personal and professional life.
Furthermore, in many religions world-wide, cleanliness has been advocated before performing rituals. Since the followers believe that Gods favor this practice and bless those who keep their home clean. For Instance, in Hindu religion, it is very popular to deep clean the home and workplaces on occasion of Diwali, when people believe that Hindi Goddess Lakshmi will visit their place to shower them with blessings.
Another contributing factor is that many of our progenitors had supported this notion and it has been one of the conventions which is still followed closely. Additionally, it is a scientific proven fact that cleanliness is a part of hygiene to promote healthier environment, whereas clutter and mess hinders practice of maintaining good hygiene.
To sum up, I firmly support this trend as it not only assist individual to think better which leads to overall development but also satisfies old customs and improve hygiene practices.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
You have addressed all parts of the prompt by clearly stating your position and providing relevant reasons. Your arguments regarding mental clarity, religious rituals, and hygiene are logical and well-supported. To reach a higher band, ensure that your ideas are fully developed; for instance, the paragraph on 'progenitors' is somewhat vague and could be expanded with a more specific example of how these conventions are applied in modern life. Overall, your position is consistent throughout the essay, and the response is well-focused on the topic of tidiness in the home and workplace.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'For Instance', and 'To sum up' effectively to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the referencing in the third paragraph could be smoother. For example, the sentence 'Since the followers believe that Gods favor this practice...' is a sentence fragment that disrupts the flow. Improving the connection between sentences within paragraphs would help achieve a higher score, as the current structure is clear but occasionally lacks sophisticated flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate a good range of vocabulary, using terms like 'imperative', 'meticulously', 'paradigm', and 'progenitors' appropriately. There are some minor issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'scientific proven fact' (should be 'scientifically proven fact') and 'Hindi Goddess' (should be 'Hindu Goddess'). While you attempt to use less common vocabulary, these occasional inaccuracies prevent a higher score. To improve, focus on ensuring that collocations are natural and that word forms are used correctly in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors that occur throughout the text. For example, 'not only tidiness has been associated' should be 'not only has tidiness been associated', and 'it is very popular to deep clean' is slightly informal. Additionally, there are issues with subject-verb agreement and article usage, such as 'in Hindu religion' (should be 'in the Hindu religion'). Increasing the frequency of error-free complex sentences will help you move into the higher bands.
