Student answer (Band 6.0)

It is very important to keep home and workplace well organised, with correct place of every thing. In my opinion i strongly stand with this stance.

one the first hand i all the necessary things keep at their required places, then at the time when we need those things we can have them without wasting any time.

For example, i experienced one difficulty to find my car keys a few days ago, while i have to go to market for urgent piece of work. My mother always use to say that you should keep things at particular places, Just because of little negligence i faced a-lot of hurdle to reach market. Just after this incidence, i rearrange my all belongings in well mannered just by sparing plenty of my time. But after rearranging them i am quite relaxed.

same with workspace should be well organised. all files, stationary items and other electronic gadgets must be place in proper manner. One of my colleagues who has messy workspace, faced to much difficulties to find an important file for annual organisation meeting. he had to present annuals KPIs but at the mean time he could not find that file, as a result, he felt to much ashamed and manager issued him a warning letter. This warning letter became a stigma on his career. This can be avoided simply by placing all those things with proper manners.

Hence, i have multiple examples of my stance, i am firmly stand with this statement that either it is your workspace or home, all things must be placed in correct manners.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position in favor of organization and providing relevant examples from personal and professional life. The ideas are relevant and the position is consistent throughout the essay. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited; the examples are anecdotal and could be expanded with more analytical depth to reach a higher band. While the task is fully addressed, the supporting arguments remain at a basic level of explanation. To improve, you should aim to explore the broader implications of organization, such as its impact on mental well-being or long-term productivity, rather than focusing solely on the immediate convenience of finding items.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, though the structure is somewhat simplistic. There is a logical progression from the introduction to the body paragraphs and the conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive (e.g., 'For example', 'Hence', 'Just after this incidence'). Some transitions between sentences are abrupt, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the transition between the personal anecdote about car keys and the workplace example. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between ideas would enhance the flow and coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'well mannered' and 'proper manners' repeatedly. There are also some issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'faced a-lot of hurdle' (should be 'faced many hurdles') and 'at the mean time' (should be 'at the same time'). While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated or less common lexical items limits the score. Incorporating more precise academic vocabulary would significantly improve your lexical range.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'my mother always use to say'), article usage (e.g., 'to market'), and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'i experienced one difficulty to find'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and capitalization of 'I'. While the errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the message, they are frequent enough to suggest a lack of control over complex structures. Focusing on basic grammatical accuracy and sentence construction is essential.
