Student answer (Band 6.0)

In recent year, some people agrue that everyone should focus on organising stuffs and placing them on the correct place in their home and office to keep them tidy and clean. I completely agree with this statement and I would discuss why is this important in upcoming paragraph.

One major reason why I agree with this view is that organise environment helps people to work more effeciatlly. If everything is kept in their proper place, so people can find them quickly and they don't need to waste their time searching for them. For example, if someone who is working professionally keep their important documents and stationary in cabinates of their dest would help them to work more faster and productivelly.

Another reason is that tidy environment can reduse stress and create more confortable atmosphere. This is because dirly and unorganised workplace would distract people while doing their important wprk. This is also a messy home or workplace can make people feel overwhelmed. For instance, when I keep my study room very clean and tidy, place all my study materials, laptop and notes on their correct place would help me to concentrate more on my study. As a result, I feel more relaxed and can focus on my work without unnecessary distractions.

In conclusion, I would advice that everyone sould keep their home and workplace tidy and organised because it helps to be more productive in your work as well as concentrate on studies. The advantages of this habit surpass the drawbacks.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position in favor of keeping environments tidy. The ideas are relevant, focusing on efficiency and stress reduction. However, the development is somewhat limited. While examples are provided, they are brief and could be expanded with more depth to fully explore the implications of the topic. The structure is logical, but the conclusion is slightly repetitive of the introduction. To reach a higher band, ensure that each supporting point is fully elaborated with more specific detail or broader context to demonstrate a more sophisticated engagement with the task.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the argument. There is a logical progression from the introduction to the body paragraphs and the conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'One major reason', 'Another reason', and 'As a result', which effectively link ideas. However, some transitions are a bit mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally slightly awkward, such as in the phrase 'This is also a messy home'. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the overall flow and cohesion of the writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their opinion clearly. There are some attempts at using topic-specific vocabulary like 'productive', 'concentrate', and 'distractions'. However, there are several spelling errors ('agrue', 'effeciatlly', 'cabinates', 'dirly', 'wprk', 'sould') and word choice issues, such as using 'stuffs' (which is uncountable) and 'on the correct place' (instead of 'in'). To improve, focus on mastering common collocations and proofreading for basic spelling errors, as these inaccuracies occasionally distract the reader from the content.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('organise environment helps', 'someone... keep their important documents'), incorrect preposition usage ('on the correct place'), and awkward phrasing ('I would discuss why is this important'). While the errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to lower the score. Increasing the number of error-free sentences and focusing on basic grammatical accuracy, particularly with articles and prepositions, will significantly improve the quality of the writing.
