Student answer (Band 6.5)
It is often argued that it is crucial to keep not only your home but also your workplace tidy, and that everything should be organized in the correct place. I agree with this statement because it helps to save time, feel comfortable and reduce stress.
One of the main reasons why home and workplace should be organized is that if employees keep all their important files and stationery in the right place, they do not need to waste their time finding these crucial items; therefore, they can save time. In addition, in a tidy place, workers may feel comfortable while working, as everything is in the correct place, which allows them to work with full motivation and have a positive impact on visitors. For example, when visitors visit any office, they first notice that how's office looks like. Hence, keeping the workplace tidy may help to increase the company's productivity.
Furthermore, a tidy house may help to reduce stress, as a messy house does not allow residents to rest in peace. After work, every individual needs rest to refresh their mind before starting household chores; however, a significant amount of time is spent by workers at their workplace, which does not allow them to do cleaning on a daily basis. For instance, working people often clean their houses on weekends. Thus, working individuals cannot clean their houses daily.
In conclusion, although people are busy at work and unable to clean their houses daily, I believe that they should keep their houses and workplaces tidy, which may motivate them and make a good impression on visitors.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, clearly stating an agreement with the importance of tidiness. The ideas regarding time management, professional image, and stress reduction are relevant. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument about cleaning on weekends is a bit repetitive and does not fully explore the 'how' or 'why' beyond the time constraint. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on your examples with more depth, perhaps by discussing the psychological benefits of an organized environment in more detail or providing a more specific professional scenario.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'In addition', 'Furthermore', and 'Thus' to link ideas. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally repetitive. For example, the phrase 'in the correct place' is used multiple times in the first two paragraphs, which makes the flow feel a bit circular. Improving the variety of your cohesive links and ensuring that each paragraph focuses on a distinct, well-developed point would enhance the overall progression of your argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'crucial', 'motivation', and 'significant amount'. However, the vocabulary is somewhat basic and repetitive. There are minor issues with word choice, such as 'rest in peace' (which usually refers to the deceased) instead of 'relax' or 'unwind'. Additionally, the phrasing 'how's office looks like' is grammatically awkward and unnatural. To improve, try to incorporate more precise collocations and topic-specific vocabulary related to organizational psychology or workplace efficiency to show a greater level of lexical flexibility.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this level. There are some grammatical errors, such as 'when visitors visit any office, they first notice that how's office looks like', which contains a redundant 's and an incorrect clause structure. Another error is 'does not allow them to do cleaning', which would be more natural as 'does not allow them to clean'. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focus on subject-verb agreement and refining your use of complex clauses.
