Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the importance of cleanliness in both home and workplace settings. The position is clear throughout, and the ideas are relevant. However, the development is somewhat uneven. While the points regarding health and professional efficiency are valid, they are supported by somewhat simplistic examples, such as the mention of 'bigger grass' and 'mosquitoes'. To reach a higher band, the arguments could be extended with more sophisticated reasoning or broader implications of an organized environment. The conclusion is brief but summarizes the main stance effectively.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'Primarily', 'To elucidate', 'Besides', and 'In addition to this' are used to link ideas. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical or repetitive. The referencing is generally clear, though there are minor issues with sentence-level flow, such as the slightly awkward phrasing in the final paragraph. Overall, the progression of ideas is easy to follow, and the paragraphing is appropriate for the task.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to communicate their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'ailments', 'essentials', and 'professional'. However, there are several spelling errors ('intergal', 'eveyones', 'dangue', 'thier') and some awkward collocations ('bigger grass', 'give chances mosquitoes'). These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the score. To improve, the student should focus on accurate spelling and more natural word combinations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('people who lives', 'customer come') and article usage ('a work', 'the goods'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary commas and capitalization issues. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy would significantly improve the quality of the writing.
