Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The essay addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the response is slightly under the 250-word minimum, which limits the depth of development. While the ideas regarding productivity and health are relevant, they are somewhat repetitive and lack detailed expansion. The introduction is a bit formulaic, and the conclusion is brief. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on your examples with more specific detail or personal insight to ensure the word count is met and the arguments are fully explored.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices like 'Primarily', 'Further more', and 'In conclusion' to link your points. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. Referencing is generally clear, but the paragraphing is quite basic. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that the transition between your main arguments feels more natural rather than just a list of points.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'productivity', 'workload', and 'tripping hazards'. However, there are some awkward collocations and word choices, such as 'positive phenomena' (should be 'a positive phenomenon') and 'prevents health from numerous disease' (should be 'prevents numerous diseases'). The range is somewhat limited, and you rely on fairly simple phrasing. To achieve a higher score, try to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary and ensure your word choices are precise and grammatically correct.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'the individuals are becoming' (unnecessary article), 'make their places' (should be 'making'), and 'putting everything on its place' (should be 'in its place'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While these errors do not significantly impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher band. Focus on subject-verb agreement and correct preposition usage to improve your accuracy.
