Student answer (Band 6.5)
Some people argue that it is important to always keep your home and workplace tidy and organised, as it helps individuals to gain focus and always stay peaceful, which in my opinion is a good thing to get habituated to.
In my opinion, it is important as an individual to make a habit of cleaning and organising the home and workplace every day; ensuring to clear the garbage, wiping the table tops and cleaning the utensils will avoid unnecessary attractionof insects that can cause bacteria and other harmful diseases. Cleaning everyday can also help an individual to stay healthy and energetic.
To support my opinion, there is an example that happened to me a few months ago where I was staying in a shared house with other housemates who were very busy with their daily routine and couldn't find time to clean their utensils properly, and as it continued for months, it affected the whole house with a cockroach infestation that became uncontrollable, and at some point it started to spread from kitchen to our bed and bathrooms.
That situation has traumatised me because I couldn't even sleep peacefully for days and beacame sick. After that horrifying situation I have vacated that place and started living on my own without anyone in sharing and made a habit that became my daily routine to keep my house and workplace clean and tidy.
In conclusion, I think it's a responsibility for every Individual to clean up their mess especially when they are people like children and elder persons living around so that they are not effected.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating an opinion in favor of maintaining a tidy environment. The ideas are relevant, particularly the personal anecdote regarding the cockroach infestation, which serves as a strong supporting example. However, the development is somewhat limited; while the health benefits are mentioned, the discussion could be further extended to include psychological or professional advantages to provide a more comprehensive argument. The conclusion is a bit brief and introduces new information about children and the elderly that was not previously discussed in the body paragraphs. Overall, the position is clear and maintained throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, body, and conclusion. The progression of ideas is generally easy to follow. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive. For instance, the transition between the personal anecdote and the conclusion could be smoother. While the paragraphing is appropriate, the internal cohesion within paragraphs could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to connect sentences more fluidly. The referencing is generally clear, though some transitions feel a bit abrupt.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'habituated' and 'infestation', which are used correctly. However, there are some minor inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'attractionof' (a spelling error) and 'vacated that place'. The range of vocabulary is sufficient to convey the intended meaning, but it lacks the sophistication and precision required for a higher band score. The spelling errors, while infrequent, are noticeable.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'beacame' (spelling), 'effected' instead of 'affected', and some issues with article usage and punctuation. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. The sentence structure is generally functional, but there is a lack of variety in complex structures. Improving control over verb forms and ensuring correct word usage (e.g., affect vs. effect) would significantly enhance the quality of the writing.
