Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, some people believe that keeping their home and workplace tidy and well-organized is important. I strongly agree with this because having an organized environment can improve productivity and reduce stress.
One of the main reason why I believe keeping things tidy is important because it improves the productivity. To which it is said that having tidy environment at workplace or home makes it easier to find things when needed. In addition to that, people need to spend less time to find their products like tools, file or other items. For example, at work having an organized desk allows an employee to find an important files quickly and complete task stress free and more efficiently.
Another reason for keeping our surroundings organized is that it can reduce stress. When everything is in its place people feel more comfortable and stress free. For example, after a long at work, a person may feel stressed if their home is messy, things are scattered everywhere. In contrast, having a tidy atmosphere at home can create a positive vibes and peaceful atmosphere, where a person can relax and rewind and enjoy their free time. In addition to that, having an organized atmosphere a person can concentrate more on important things rather than getting spending more time on finding items.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that keeping our homes and workplace tidy is essential. Not only it does help to reduce stress but people can more efficiently. It also provides a positive environment which helps to improve concentration and help to get better overall well-being

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by expressing a clear position in the introduction ('I strongly agree with this') and supporting it throughout the essay with relevant ideas. The writer discusses both productivity and stress reduction as key arguments for maintaining a tidy home and workplace. However, some ideas are slightly repetitive or under-developed, and there are occasional slight generalisations in the examples provided, such as 'people need to spend less time to find their products like tools, file or other items'. Overall, the position is well-maintained, and the main tenets of the prompt are adequately covered, corresponding well to the requirements of Band 6.5 or a solid Band 6 performance.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The response demonstrates a clear overall progression with a recognizable introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. Paragraphing is used sufficiently to separate main ideas, such as productivity in the second paragraph and stress reduction in the third. However, cohesion is at times faulty or mechanical, with noticeable errors in referencing and transitional phrases. For instance, the transition 'To which it is said that having tidy environment...' is awkward and unidiomatic. Additionally, some sentences lack smooth linking, leading to a slightly disjointed reading experience. Despite these issues, the essay remains coherent overall, placing it securely within the Band 6 descriptor range.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The writer uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common lexical items such as 'well-organized', 'productivity', and 'atmosphere'. However, there are frequent word-choice errors, incorrect word forms, and missing pluralisations, such as 'One of the main reason' instead of 'reasons', 'find their products' instead of 'items' or 'belongings', and 'relax and rewind' (rewind is used incorrectly here; 'wind down' is appropriate). There are also minor spelling and phrasing awkwardnesses throughout the text. While these lexical slips do not impede communication, they restrict the score to Band 5.5, showing a mix of adequate resource and noticeable inaccuracy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some capability to construct multi-clause sentences, such as 'In contrast, having a tidy atmosphere at home can create a positive vibes and peaceful atmosphere, where a person can relax and rewind...'. Nevertheless, grammatical accuracy is inconsistent. There are several noticeable errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('One of the main reason... is'), missing articles ('having tidy environment'), and incorrect noun modifiers ('a positive vibes' where 'vibe' is singular or needs to agree). Complex structures frequently contain errors or awkward phrasing, which places this performance firmly at Band 5.5 for grammatical control.
