Student answer (Band 4.5)

people have a diffferent thought of the about cleaning and all things place on correct place, but my opinon is straigt, which is i explain the below.

First i talk about the home, where we leaving if we are not orgnised the all things on right place then we faced the lot of problem in our daily routine life, for example if my cubboard is not clean or proper settled then how to i find my clothes, ties, socks, hanckey, etc, morning i ready for going office, but i am not find the my sock, it mean i am not reach the on time my office, and same problem face in the kitchen and bedroom also, if my all things are proper place, then my home looks so beautiful and anyone comes in home then they appriciate me so well orgnisation is the good habbit.

other hand if my office is not clean and well settled according to things then its bad impact on my buisness, because if the client come on my office then they see all things are well orgnised they will happy, for example i am own the travel agency and client told me show your buisness plan, and same time i am start searching the file or others things, but i did not find on time, because i am not fixed the all files on proper place, that time client not happy with me, and i loss my buisness, that is the reason i am favour the house and office workplace always clean and well orgnised for the good result

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The candidate addresses the prompt by giving a clear opinion that keeping both the home and workplace tidy and organised is important. Ideas are presented regarding both domains, explaining how disorganisation leads to negative consequences such as wasting time or losing business. However, the development of ideas tends to be repetitive and relies heavily on a single extended personal or hypothetical example for each setting rather than broadening the arguments. The position is maintained throughout, but the lack of fully extended and supported ideas keeps this response within the Band 5 descriptor. To reach a higher band, the candidate needs to explore broader implications or alternative viewpoints rather than solely relying on basic personal anecdotes.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The text demonstrates some organisation, dividing the response into an introduction, a body paragraph about the home, and a body paragraph about the workplace. However, there is no clear overall progression due to severe run-on sentences and a lack of proper punctuation. Cohesive devices are basic and often inaccurate or over-used, such as repeating 'for example' and connecting entire clauses with commas instead of full stops or appropriate conjunctions. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal structure of the paragraphs is chaotic, making the logical flow difficult to follow at times. This corresponds to the Band 4 descriptor, as information and ideas are not arranged cohesively enough to ensure smooth reading.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, with frequent spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'diffferent', 'opinon', 'straigt', 'orgnised', 'cubboard', 'hanckey', 'appriciate', and 'buisness'. The range of vocabulary is limited, relying on simple everyday words like 'clean', 'good', 'bad', and 'happy'. Although the meaning can mostly be deciphered, the numerous lexical errors and spelling mistakes cause noticeable difficulty for the reader and strain comprehension. There is little attempt to use less common lexical items accurately. This performance aligns with the Band 4 descriptor, where basic and repetitive vocabulary combined with frequent errors restricts the score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The writing exhibits a very limited range of grammatical structures, consisting almost entirely of poorly controlled compound and complex sentences joined incorrectly by commas. There are frequent, fundamental errors in subject-verb agreement, tense consistency, and word order, such as 'how to i find', 'i am not find the my sock', 'i am not reach the on time my office', and 'client told me show your buisness plan'. Punctuation is largely neglected, resulting in massive run-on sentences that make reading strenuous. Because errors are frequent and constantly distort meaning or cause severe disruption to the flow, the grammar falls squarely into the Band 4 category.
