Student answer (Band 6.0)
Many people believe that a person's house and office work place should be organised, clean and everthing should be at a proper place.
I completely agree to this point of view as it offers peace of mind and mental satisfaction. Moreover, having everything organised can leave a good impression on others and in case of an emergency, it is easier to find a required item.
Phycology experts tend to believe that people who live in a tidy and organised environments, they face lesser anxiety issues. Having everthing at a right place gives them a sense of satisfaction. Similarly, office wokers who like to keep their work desks clean and organised, they find it easier to concentrate on their work. During work, when they need any document or folder, they exactly know which cabinet to look to. It can save them a lot of time and boosts their productivity.
Moreover, we live in a society where everyone works hard to have a good impression on others such as friends, family members or colleagues.
Its been observed that people who deep clean their homes at least once a week, they don't panic when unexpected guests visist them. Eventually, they leave a good impression on their guests. In case of individuals who work in offices and are surrounded by different colleagues, having this habit of keeping everything clean and at a proper place, help them to have a good impression on others. When boss visits their offices unexpectedly, their clean desk and everything in a order, benefits them in terms of leaving a good impression on boss.
In conclusion, to have a peace of mind and avoid last minute hustly to find an item, it is essential to clean your place once a week.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The student addresses all parts of the task by clearly stating their opinion and providing reasons and examples to support the stance that a tidy home and workplace are important. The position is maintained throughout the essay. Ideas are extended with explanations regarding peace of mind, time-saving benefits, and making a good impression on guests or bosses. However, some arguments tend to over-generalise or remain slightly repetitive, particularly the repeated focus on 'leaving a good impression' across multiple paragraphs. Overall, the response fulfills the requirements of the task well, earning a solid Band 6.5 to 7.0 range, comfortably fitting the Band 6.5 descriptor for fully addressing the prompt with relevant, supported ideas.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction and conclusion. Paragraphing is utilised to separate distinct ideas, such as the psychological benefits in the second body paragraph and the social impressions in the third. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical. For instance, the use of transition markers like 'Moreover' and 'Similarly' is occasionally repetitive, and referencing within sentences can be clunky, such as 'In case of individuals who work in offices... having this habit... help them'. Additionally, some sentences contain run-on structures that disrupt the natural flow of ideas. These issues place the response firmly in the Band 6 category.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'peace of mind', 'mental satisfaction', 'productivity', and 'unexpected guests'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, including 'everthing' instead of 'everything', 'work place' instead of 'workplace', 'Phycology' instead of 'Psychology', 'wokers' instead of 'workers', 'visist' instead of 'visit', and 'hustly' instead of 'hustle'. While these errors do not impede overall communication, their frequency prevents the score from reaching a higher band. The lexical range is sufficient but marred by avoidable slips.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
The writer demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating relative clauses and conditional structures. However, there are several grammatical errors and awkward phrasings, such as 'people who live in a tidy and organised environments, they face' (unnecessary comma splice and pronoun duplication), 'everthing at a right place', and 'everything in a order'. Punctuation errors are also present, such as missing apostrophes ('Its been observed'). Despite these errors, the meaning remains clear throughout, and communication is rarely impeded. This performance aligns well with the Band 6 criteria.
