Student answer (Band 5.5)

Few individuals state that working offices and houses should be neat and clean, as everything needs to be on their right position. I am totally on the side of this statement. In this essay will discuss my view points regarding this opinion.

To get started with this environment, my first announcement is that if people live's in tidy home then this thing help to release their lot of stress from their lives. Take for instance, when they wakeup and see everything is clean and shining around them then it automaticly demonstarte good effect on their mood and they enjoy their rest of day with full energy. Furthermore, friends and relatives start liking and visting our home, if it is looking good from inside and outside. For example, most of people don't want to visit dirty places, some because of allergies and some as they love to be in tidy places.

Apart from it, workplaces also should be looking wiped as it effect lots on our business and earnings. This is because in my country many people believe that if we are not warshiping and cleaning work place money denied to come towards us. Moreover, after throughing our important thing here and there, it's very difficult to find things when we need it on time as a result that is waste of time and swing our good mood to devastating mood.

To conclude it, deffinately living in clean places put good impact on our lifestyle, as we start enjoying our lives and living stress free life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

The response addresses all parts of the task and presents a clear position throughout, which is a strong characteristic of higher bands. The writer clearly states their agreement with the prompt in the introduction and maintains this stance. Relevant ideas are presented, such as the psychological benefits of a clean environment and the practical impacts on both visitors and workplace efficiency. However, some ideas remain under-developed or simplistic. For instance, the point regarding visitors and allergies is raised quickly without much extension, and the workplace argument relies heavily on a single cultural belief rather than being fully elaborated. To reach a higher level, the writer needs to extend and support all main points with deeper explanations and more thoroughly explored examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a brief conclusion, fulfilling the basic requirements of paragraphing. Ideas are generally grouped logically, with the first body paragraph focusing on homes and the second on workplaces. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical or faulty. The transitional phrases used, such as 'To get started with this environment' and 'Apart from it', sound unnatural and detract from the smooth progression of ideas. Furthermore, referencing is not always clear, as seen with pronouns like 'this thing' and 'it automaticly demonstarte'. To improve, the writer should employ a wider and more natural range of cohesive devices and ensure that referencing is precise throughout the response.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, providing enough range to communicate basic ideas about tidy homes and workplaces, but it is limited and hindered by noticeable inaccuracies. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'devastating' and 'deffinately', but these attempts are frequently marred by word-choice errors, incorrect collocations, and spelling mistakes like 'demonstarte', 'warshiping', and 'throughing'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they restrict the lexical score. To achieve a higher band, the student must expand their vocabulary range, improve precision in word choice, and pay much closer attention to standard English spelling and word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer demonstrates a limited range of sentence structures, relying heavily on basic patterns with some attempts at complex sentences that often turn out faulty. There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with verb forms and tenses, subject-verb agreement, and articles, such as 'if people live's in tidy home' and 'money denied to come'. Punctuation errors are also present, and awkward prepositional patterns emerge. These frequent errors cause some difficulty for the reader and prevent the grammar from reaching the error-free stability required at higher levels. To progress, the student needs to build better control over complex sentence forms and eliminate basic grammatical inaccuracies.
