Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people believe it is essential to keep your home and workplace neat and clean with well organised and things should be available in the correct place.
Firstly, when people keep their home well organised, it gives us positive and calm environment. It gives us feeling of doing work there. Because it is easy for doing any tasks such as cleaning, moping, dressing. It will help in saving time, because when things are available in the correct place, we do not have to search that here and there. It can help us in develop good habbits also. Another thing is cleaning is also very important, because nowadays so many germs and bacterias build up on the floor and roof, we must do cleaning.
On the other hand, where people work it should also tidy and well organised. It helps people to hire employes, customer will also praise you. If people have worked in clean area, that's how they will continue to work in the future. As a result, it gives us opportunity for work. For example In India when people open their shops at morning, firstly they do cleaning, after that they offer prayer and do some pooja as well as some goes to temple also.
In my opinion, it is very important for both work area and home, because where we earn money or eat. We must clean and organise things. We can also do decoration.
In conclusion, we must organise things in correct place because if some stranger also do work they can also find things easily. It can help us to give positive vibes , enjoy our work.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the importance of keeping a home and workplace neat and clean, but the ideas remain somewhat limited and under-developed. For example, while the writer mentions that an organised home gives a positive and calm environment, this point is not fully extended with specific examples or deep explanation. The position is generally clear, stating the opinion that tidiness is crucial for earning money, eating, and general well-being, but the arguments shift quickly between home and work without deep elaboration. Some aspects, such as the example of opening shops in India, relate to the topic, but other ideas are left basic and repetitive, preventing the response from reaching a higher level of development.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with clear paragraphing that separates the introduction, body paragraphs on the home and workplace, personal opinion, and conclusion. However, cohesion is at times mechanical or faulty. The writer relies heavily on basic transitional phrases like 'Firstly', 'Another thing is', and 'On the other hand' to link sentences and paragraphs. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the pronoun use in sentences like 'where people work it should also tidy', which disrupts the logical flow. While there is a clear intent to group ideas—such as keeping the discussion of the home in the second paragraph and the workplace in the third—the lack of smoother cohesive devices keeps the response at this level.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The lexical resource is limited and adequate for basic communication, but noticeable errors occur throughout the text. There are several word choice and collocation issues, such as 'moping' instead of 'mopping', 'habbits' instead of 'habits', and 'employes' instead of 'employees'. The vocabulary is largely repetitive, using words like 'clean', 'organised', 'work', and 'things' frequently. Attempts at less common vocabulary are generally unsuccessful or imprecise, such as 'germs and bacterias build up' (where 'bacteria' is already plural). These lexical inaccuracies and spelling slips cause some minor difficulty for the reader and reflect a restricted working vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The student uses a limited range of sentence structures, relying mostly on simple sentences alongside a few faulty attempts at complex forms. There are frequent grammatical errors in verb forms, prepositions, and articles. Examples include 'it is easy for doing any tasks', 'we do not have to search that here and there', 'where people work it should also tidy', and 'If people have worked in clean area'. Furthermore, punctuation is occasionally neglected, and errors regarding singular and plural agreement appear regularly. While these errors do not completely obscure the intended message, their frequency causes noticeable difficulty for the reader and prevents the attainment of a higher grammatical score.
