Student answer (Band 6.0)

It is often argued that the things should be well organised in individuals house and office area with proper dedicated location for each items. I strongly agree that home and work desk must be neat and clean, primarily because it create a hygeness and save your time.

The primary reason for my postion is that this habbit helps you to maintain a hygine in your home and office place. Not only does clealiness enhance the hyginess, but it also promotes free from the badly bectaria and dust particles. This can untimately alleviate number of deseases. For instance, Japanes people spend the 15 minutes daily to organised their desk area before sign off for the work as a result they can maintain the tidyness at workplace. Therefore, maintain the hyginess provides compelling justification for maintaining clealiness at work and home.

Another compelling reason is that this approach drastically save individuals time. The more focus effort to arrange a workplace and home tidy, the more likely to find a things promptly when we need it. Were individuals to adopt this habit, they could significantly mitigate number of problems such as not finding a things on time when they actually need it. For example, If they assigned a proper location to store an aggrement documents then they hardly put an extra effort or time to find it when their supervisor need it.

In clunclusion, I strongly agree that it is widely important to keep a home and workplace area up to date, tidy and well organised because it can promote hyginess and save your productive time.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

The response successfully addresses all parts of the task, presenting a clear position throughout in agreement with the prompt. The writer extends and supports ideas by providing relevant reasoning and a specific example concerning Japanese work habits. However, there is a slight tendency to over-generalise in the development of ideas, such as linking home organisation directly to alleviating a wide number of diseases. The arguments are relevant and well-focused, fulfilling the requirements for a solid performance where the main position is easy to follow from the introduction to the conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0

The essay demonstrates a clear logical organisation and progression throughout. Each paragraph has a distinct central topic, starting with an introduction, followed by body paragraphs with clear topic sentences ('The primary reason for my postion is...', 'Another compelling reason is...'), and finishing with a logical conclusion ('In clunclusion...'). The writer uses cohesive devices flexibly, such as referencing ('this habit', 'this approach') and transitional markers ('For instance', 'Therefore'), though occasional mechanical or slightly awkward transitions occur, which keeps the response fitting securely within this level.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, though the range is limited and noticeable errors restrict the score. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'alleviate', 'mitigate', and 'compelling justification', but struggles with accurate word forms, spelling, and collocations. There are multiple lexical errors throughout the text, including spelling mistakes like 'hygeness', 'hygine', 'untimately', 'deseases', 'Japanes', 'aggrement', and 'clunclusion', as well as collocation slips like 'badly bectaria'. These errors cause some difficulty for the reader and reflect a restricted lexical control.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional and inverted structures such as 'Were individuals to adopt this habit...'. However, there is a limited range of reliable structures, and attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty. Frequent grammar errors are present, particularly with articles, subject-verb agreement, and plurals, such as 'the things should be', 'individuals house', 'it create', 'Japanese people spend the 15 minutes', 'a things', and 'If they assigned'. While these errors do not completely obscure the message, they cause noticeable difficulty and prevent the grammar score from rising higher.
