Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some individuals believe it is paramount to maintain and keep your living and working spaces organised.
I completely agree with this notion, I mean a clean surronding lead to productivity and good health.
Firstly, As an individual if your enivronment is always neat day in day out, you will be able to function. it leads to creativity and concentration. For example, an unkempt and disorganized place causes distraction, confusion and also frustration but if your environs is being swept daily and also organized it can improve concentration and work effiency, allowing people complete their tasks more effectively. This can also reduce stress and create a more comfortable atomsphere for both workers and residents.
Secondly, maintaining a clean and well organised area can contribute to better health and well-being. For illustration, a neat workplace that is free from dust and rubbish and also well ventilated can reduce illnesses such as cough and catarrh. Let's not forget dirty and contamined surrondings can cause bacteria which is very harmful considering if you have kids and you are a parent. Poor hygiene and unclean surrondings can increase people's exposure to harmful bacteria and other pathogens, potentially leading to illness.
We need to wipe unclean surfaces, dispose waste including liquid and non -liquid and also get a proper waste bin.
In conculsion, I believe that maintaining clean and organised surrondings is important because it can improve people's health and increase their productivity.
Therefore, individuals should make an effort to keep their homes and workplaces clean and orderly.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The response successfully addresses all parts of the prompt by taking a clear, well-supported position in agreement with the statement. The writer presents relevant ideas about both productivity and health, which meets the standard for the lower half of the band. However, certain aspects are more fully developed than others; for instance, the points regarding health and bacteria are elaborated with examples like cough and catarrh, whereas the opening paragraph relies on informal transitions like 'I mean a clean surronding' and slightly repetitive generalisations. To reach a higher band, the ideas would need more consistent extension and deeper exploration without relying on conversational asides.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay demonstrates a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt to structure thoughts into logical paragraphs. Transitional markers such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'In conculsion' are employed to guide the reader through the text. However, cohesion can sometimes feel mechanical or slightly faulty, as seen in the abrupt transitions between sentences in the second paragraph, such as 'Firstly, As an individual if your enivronment is always neat day in day out, you will be able to function. it leads to creativity and concentration.' Referencing and paragraphing are generally acceptable, but the logical progression would benefit from smoother linking words rather than repetitive phrases like 'unclean surrondings' and 'organised surrondings'.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The writer uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less-common items such as 'productivity', 'concentration', and 'pathogens'. However, there are noticeable spelling errors throughout the response, including 'surronding', 'enivronment', 'effiency', 'atomsphere', 'contamined', and 'conculsion'. Word choice is occasionally imprecise, such as 'dispose waste', which lacks the correct preposition 'of'. These lexical errors and spelling slips do not severely impede communication, placing the response firmly in the middle vocabulary tier. To improve, the writer needs to demonstrate greater control over less common lexical items and eliminate basic spelling inaccuracies.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The response features a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating attempts at conditional structures and relative clauses, such as 'if your environs is being swept daily and also organized it can improve concentration'. There are some errors in grammar and punctuation, including missing comma punctuation around clauses, subject-verb agreement issues like 'a clean surronding lead', and awkward phrasing like 'allowing people complete their tasks'. Fortunately, these grammatical slips rarely impede overall communication. A higher band would require a wider variety of error-free complex structures and tighter control over punctuation and subject-verb agreements.
