Student answer (Band 6.5)

It is crucial to keep house and workplace neat and clean, with everything well-organised and correctely placed, as per some individuals; in opinion, it is certainly important becuase this habit saves time and keep places and mind clean and calm.

One of the reasons why organising house is important is it is convenient to locate essential things if they are well placed and also saves time. A neat and clean home makes life easy and convenient, as if someone is being organized and placing things at their places such as dirty clothes in laundry areas, and used utensiles in dishwasher, that perosn is can save a lot of time. He/she is more likely to spend quality time with family or friends. Even, an organized home give you positive vibes and relax your mind. It is sciencetifically proven that a clean place clams mind and make someone more productive.

Moreover, a tidy working place creates a good impression on peers or boss. Since cleaning is considered as a personality trait and a clean workplace will give a good impression about your personality and make people assume that you are a well behaved and organized person from inside out. Furthermore, if someone is keeping everything such as client's files, documents, and stationary at place, it can save a lot of time and energy while searching for these. Despite these influences on others, a tidy place where you work can make you productive and create a positive ambience.

In conclusion, whether it is home or office, one should keep it neat and organized not only for internal calmness and productivity, but also to give others a positive environment to work or live with you.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

Your position is clear from the opening: you agree that keeping both home and workplace organised is important. You address both settings and give relevant reasons, including saving time, spending more time with family, creating a positive impression at work, and improving productivity. The examples of putting clothes in the laundry area and files in their proper place help make the points concrete. This meets the task well, with ideas generally extended and supported. To strengthen the response further, develop the claims about a clean environment calming the mind and being “scientifically proven” with a brief explanation or specific example, rather than relying on broad assertions. You could also make the link between tidiness and others’ impressions more precise.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0

The response has a clear overall progression: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs discuss the home and workplace, and the conclusion restates your position. Paragraphing is appropriate, and signposts such as “One of the reasons,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the argument. Ideas within each paragraph are mostly ordered logically, moving from the benefit to examples and consequences. Some linking is a little mechanical, however, and “Even” at the start of a sentence does not connect naturally to the preceding point. The workplace paragraph also shifts from impressions to practical benefits without a strong transition. Use a wider range of natural links and clearer references between related ideas to make the progression smoother.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “well-organised,” “essential things,” “positive vibes,” “personality trait,” and “positive ambience.” These choices communicate the main ideas, but the range and control are uneven, with repeated reliance on “neat,” “clean,” “organized,” and “positive.” Several spelling errors—such as “correctely,” “becuase,” “perosn,” and “sciencetifically”—are noticeable, and some combinations are unnatural, including “placing things at their places” and “a clean place clams mind.” These issues keep the vocabulary from being consistently precise and natural. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations, such as “put things in their proper place” and “create a calm environment,” while varying repeated words.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex structures, including reason clauses (“Since cleaning is considered as a personality trait”) and conditional phrasing (“if someone is keeping everything…”). However, errors occur across sentence patterns and sometimes make the reader pause. For example, “this habit saves time and keep places” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “that person is can save” combines incompatible verb forms. Other issues include “organising house is important” and “an organized home give you,” where articles or agreement are missing. Some long sentences also become difficult to control. Practise building accurate clauses first, then combine them; pay particular attention to subject–verb agreement, articles, and avoiding unnecessary auxiliary verbs.
