Student answer (Band 6.5)
Some argue that keeping your home and your workplace organised and tidy is very important. I strongly agree with this view because tidy and organised spaces often help people to perform their tasks effectively and give them a sense of satisfaction. This essay will discuss how keeping homes and workplaces tidy is important for individuals.
First, when people work in a clean and organised environment, they tend to perform their tasks effectively. This is mainly because when things are kept at their correct places, it is usually easy to grab and use them. This can save people's time and help them stay focused as they do not have to waste time looking for the required things. For instance, when employees arrange their files, documents and other required items in an organised way , they are likely to perform better without getting lost in between in finding the items. Therefore, keeping home and workplaces well organised may increase individuals productivity.
Second, tidy and organised homes and workplaces give a satisfactory working experience to people. If these spaces are untidy and disorganised, they may make individuals feel uncomfortable and uninterested to work. In this situation, people usually have to spend their energy on unnecessary things as to look for the required items which leaves them confused and distracted. Consequently, they may pay less attention the assigned tasks and feel uninterested to complete them. In contrast, organised spaces provide people with a comfortable working environment.
In conclusion, I largely agree that keeping homes and workplaces organised is very important as it often helps in increasing people's productivity, in performing tasks effectively and in helping them doing tasks comfortably.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you strongly agree that tidy spaces help people work effectively and feel satisfied. Both body paragraphs give relevant reasons, and the example of employees arranging files supports the productivity point. This meets the task well, but the two reasons are not developed equally: the first explains how organisation saves time, while the second mostly repeats that untidy spaces cause discomfort and distraction. The prompt asks for your opinion, and you maintain it consistently, but the discussion would be more convincing with a specific personal or real-world example and fuller explanation of how tidiness benefits the home as well as the workplace. The conclusion also repeats the main claims rather than drawing them together.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two reason-based body paragraphs and a conclusion. The progression from improved task performance to a more comfortable working experience is logical, and signposts such as “First,” “Second,” “For instance” and “In conclusion” make the organisation easy to follow. This is a strong feature of the response. To make the flow more flexible, avoid relying so heavily on explicit sequencing and use clearer links between cause and result. For example, the second paragraph repeats the idea of searching for items from the first; it could instead develop a distinct consequence or example. Also ensure references are precise: “these spaces” is understandable, but a more specific reference could make the connection even clearer.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “organised environment,” “perform their tasks effectively,” “focused,” “distracted” and “productivity.” These choices communicate your ideas clearly, and you attempt more formal expressions such as “assigned tasks.” However, some wording is repetitive, particularly “tidy and organised” and “required items,” and a few combinations are not natural. For example, “give a satisfactory working experience” would be more idiomatic as “create a more satisfying working environment,” while “getting lost in between in finding the items” is unclear. Greater precision in collocations and more varied vocabulary for the effects of organisation would strengthen the response without making it sound forced.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “If these spaces are untidy… they may make individuals feel uncomfortable” and cause-and-effect clauses with “because” and “as.” Most sentences remain understandable, and the errors do not prevent the reader from following your argument. Some grammatical inaccuracies persist, however. In “they may pay less attention the assigned tasks,” the preposition “to” is needed; “helping them doing tasks” should be “helping them do tasks” or “helping them to do tasks.” There are also agreement and punctuation issues in “increase individuals productivity” and the space before the comma in “way ,”. Proofreading these patterns and varying sentence structures more accurately would improve control.
