Student answer (Band 5.5)

Some folks say that it is very essential to keep their home and work station systematic with everything organised and in the right place. I strongly agreed with the statement because it provides a sense of self satisfaction about clean environment , consistancy and punctuality that leads to success.

Firstly , It is widely believed that people extremly like the place more which is neat and clean instead of polluted environment. The principal reason is that it gives them a sense of self confidence as well as they remain healthy by keeping everything clean including houses and work stations. In addition to this, clean environment provides more opportunity to work more efficiently whether we are at home or in a office. For instance , people who are working in a clean and well organised environment, they are healthy and more productive.

On the other hand, many people aruge that a systematic environment is a key of success for any compant or firm. For example , If a company does not pay attention about the cleanliness and punctuality , they will not get the results which they demand. Everything should be well organised If someone wants to be successful in his life. However, If that company have everything organised, they will resolve the issues immediatley and as a result they will generate more revenue .

In conclusion , a clean s and systematic environment always be apprecaited and leads to success. When I started my own company in 1999 I were not fully aware of such things and my company was defaulted .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you strongly support keeping homes and workplaces organised, and you give relevant reasons involving confidence, health, efficiency and business success. The company example and your personal experience also help address the request for examples. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For instance, the link between tidiness and “punctuality” is introduced but not developed, and the final claim that your company “was defaulted” is unclear, so its relevance and meaning are difficult to follow. Develop one or two main reasons with a clearer explanation of how organisation produces the stated benefits, and make the personal example more precise. This would make the response more fully supported.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “In addition to this,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of your argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the second body paragraph shifts from cleanliness to punctuality, company success and revenue without clearly connecting each point. “On the other hand” also suggests a contrasting view, but the paragraph continues to support your position rather than presenting an opposing argument. Some links between ideas are therefore mechanical or unclear. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main reason, and make sure contrast markers accurately describe the relationship between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a reasonable range of vocabulary related to the topic, including “well organised,” “productive,” “self confidence” and “generate more revenue.” These choices help communicate your main ideas. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “systematic environment,” “a key of success,” and “people extremely like the place more.” Spelling errors, including “consistancy,” “aruge,” “immediatley” and “apprecaited,” also reduce accuracy. Some expressions are repeated, particularly “clean” and “organised.” Aim for more natural combinations and check spelling carefully; for example, describe a “tidy, well-organised environment” and say that it “contributes to success.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “whether” and “if,” so there is some variety in structure. However, errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction occur across the response and sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. Examples include “I strongly agreed” for a present opinion, “people who are working … they are healthy,” and “that company have everything organised.” The final sentence, “When I started my own company in 1999 I were not fully aware,” also has a tense and agreement problem. Practise building accurate complex sentences, especially conditional clauses, and check that each sentence has a clear subject and correctly matched verb.
