Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
You express a relevant opinion: you support keeping homes and workplaces tidy, and you give a reason about comfort and an example involving visitors. However, the response addresses the task only minimally. The workplace point—keeping things in the correct place to allow movement—is introduced but not explained, and there is little development of why organisation matters or what benefits it brings. The example about what visitors might think is relevant, but it remains brief and is not connected to a fuller argument. The response also does not meet the required minimum of 250 words, so there is not enough material to develop and support your position. Add clear reasons and specific examples for both settings.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
The response has a basic line of thought: it begins with your opinion, moves to the home as a place of comfort, gives a visitor example, and then mentions the workplace. This gives the reader some sense of the points you want to make. However, the ideas are compressed into one continuous passage, with no clear paragraphing or progression between the home and workplace arguments. Repeated use of “because” and the shift to “also your work place” make the connections feel abrupt. To improve, organise the response into an introduction, separate paragraphs for home and work, and a conclusion. Use linking phrases to show how each example supports your opinion.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use a small set of relevant words and phrases, including “comfort,” “clean and tidy,” “messy,” and “organizing,” so the general topic is understandable. The vocabulary is nevertheless repetitive and often imprecise, which limits how clearly you can explain your ideas. For example, “correct place for your moving space” does not clearly express the benefit of workplace organisation, and “be matured cleaning” is not a natural way to describe responsible behaviour. Try using more precise topic vocabulary such as “clutter-free,” “well-organised,” “efficient workspace,” and “make a positive impression.” Check common word partnerships as well as spelling and word forms, so your intended meaning is expressed naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to connect ideas using clauses, as in “because the home is represents comfort,” and you use a question to introduce your visitor example. These attempts show some willingness to go beyond isolated simple statements. However, sentence structures are often incomplete or inaccurately formed, and the reader has to work to follow the meaning. For instance, “for my opinion they saying” lacks a clear grammatical structure, while “the home is represents” combines incompatible verb forms. The long sequence beginning “example you have visitors” also needs clearer sentence boundaries and punctuation. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check articles, verb forms, and punctuation when joining ideas.
