Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you support keeping homes and workplaces tidy, and you address benefits in both settings. The points about a clean daycare helping children stay healthy and items being easier to find are relevant, while the workplace paragraph adds productivity and customer appeal. However, some ideas are asserted rather than explained: for example, the link between tidiness and employees’ happiness or customers’ purchasing decisions needs a clearer explanation or a specific example. The conclusion restates your view but does not add much synthesis. To develop the response further, explain how each benefit follows from an organised environment and support at least one point with a concrete personal or familiar example. The response meets the task’s length requirement; eight words copied from the prompt were not counted.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Paragraphs generally focus on relevant benefits, and signposts such as “To commence with,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” help show the direction of the argument. However, some linking is mechanical, and the progression within the workplace paragraph is not always clear: the claim about productivity is followed by happiness and then by customers buying things, without fully explaining how these points connect. “Supporting further” is also an awkward transition. Use fewer formulaic openers and make the relationship between each claim and its explanation explicit. Clearer referencing and a more deliberate sequence of reasons would make the argument flow more naturally.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary for the topic, including “organised,” “productivity,” “organizational skills,” and “dividends.” These choices help communicate your main ideas, but several word-choice, collocation and spelling problems make the expression less natural. Examples include “tideness” for “tidiness,” “puts a positive effect” instead of “has a positive effect,” and “pays rich dividends in daily lives,” which is not used naturally here. “Cleaned everythings” is also an inaccurate phrase. Aim for precise, natural combinations rather than adding formal-sounding expressions. Proofreading spelling and checking how words commonly combine would improve clarity and give you more flexibility in discussing the benefits of an orderly environment.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including the structure “not only … but also,” and most of your meaning remains understandable. However, errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction recur. For example, “tideness play” needs subject–verb agreement, while “not only save time … but also it develops” has an inconsistent structure and verb form. In “they would be able to more productive,” the adjective needs a linking verb, and “even it gives” does not form a correct clause. These errors sometimes make the reader pause, although the overall message is still clear. Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and correctly formed verb, and revise complex sentences into accurate clauses.
