You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir or Madam,
Student answer (Band 7.0)
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to express my interest in the job that I saw in a magazine.
I really wanted to do this job because I truly love taking care of little children. Being an elder brother of my three sisters, I have a special kind of affection with children. In addition, as I have just finished my studies, I was searching a job which suits my interest and studies.
Choosing would be a good option as I not only have a two year Early Childhood Education diploma but also have experience as I worked in Daycare for more than a year. So I know which food is essential for the growth of a child and I also have knowledge about steps to be taken in emergencies.
I like to read books in my free time, whenever I have leisure time I enjoy reading. If I have a holiday, I would like to go to the museum as I love to explore new historical things.
I look forward to hearing back from you.
Yours faithfully,
Dharmveer Singh.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.5
You have successfully addressed all three bullet points in the prompt. You clearly explained your motivation for applying, provided relevant details regarding your qualifications and experience, and described your leisure activities. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter. To improve, you could expand slightly on your suitability by connecting your experience more directly to the specific needs of a six-year-old child, rather than just stating your diploma and daycare background. Overall, the response is well-focused and meets the requirements of the task effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.5
The letter is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs for each requirement, and a formal closing. You use some cohesive devices such as 'In addition' and 'not only... but also' to link ideas. However, the transition between the second and third paragraph could be smoother. The paragraphing is appropriate, and the progression of ideas is easy to follow. To reach a higher band, ensure that cohesive devices are used more naturally and that the flow between sentences is consistently smooth throughout the entire text.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'Early Childhood Education diploma' and 'affection'. There are some minor inaccuracies, such as 'searching a job' (should be 'searching for a job') and 'historical things' (which is a bit vague). While your vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly, incorporating more precise or sophisticated collocations would enhance your score. For example, instead of 'searching a job', you could use 'seeking employment' or 'pursuing a position'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 7.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are some grammatical slips, such as 'Being an elder brother of my three sisters' (which is slightly awkward phrasing) and 'I also have knowledge about steps to be taken' (which could be more concise). Punctuation is generally accurate, though there is a minor error in 'whenever I have leisure time I enjoy reading' (a comma or conjunction would improve the flow). The majority of your sentences are clear, and the errors do not impede communication.
