You have seen an advertisement in an Australian magazine for someone to live with a family for six months and look after their six-year-old child.

Write a letter to the parents. In your letter

• explain why you would like the job
• give details of why you would be a suitable person to employ
• say how you would spend your free time while you are in Australia

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Dear Mr. Max,

I am writing this letter to express my interest in baby sitting position which was advertised in an Australian journal.

The reasons behind why I would love this job are, I am the person who likes to spend time with toddlers. Moreover, I am the oldest child of my family so I understand the level of care required for them from my childhood time. I have taken care of my two younger brothers and one sister while my parents were working.

Discussing my qualifications, I have completed my degree in early childhood educator. Furthermore, I had obtained first aid and some other certificates which are required for this position. I believe that my theoretical knowledge as well as practical experience in childhood will support me to thrive in this position.

I have some friends living in Australia, so whenever I get leisure time, I will visit them and take this opportunity for building more connections in new country.

I have attached my resume and I can provide references upon request.
