Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all three bullet points required by the task: explaining your interest, detailing your suitability, and describing your plans for free time. However, the development of these ideas is quite limited. For instance, your explanation of why you are suitable is brief and lacks specific examples of your childcare experience. The response is also somewhat repetitive, and the tone is not consistently appropriate for a formal letter to a family. To improve, you should expand on your points with more detail and ensure the tone remains professional throughout the letter.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The letter is organized into a single block of text, which makes it difficult to follow. You should use clear paragraphing to separate your introduction, the body points, and the conclusion. While you use some basic cohesive devices like 'Also' and 'As well as', the flow between sentences is often disjointed. The logical progression of ideas is hindered by the lack of clear paragraph structure and the repetitive nature of the sentences. Using a wider range of linking words and organizing your ideas into distinct paragraphs would significantly improve the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive, which limits your ability to express your ideas precisely. Phrases like 'take care of' are used repeatedly, and there are some awkward word choices, such as 'laser time' (likely meaning 'leisure time') and 'mother tongue'. You rely on simple, high-frequency words, which prevents you from demonstrating a wider range of vocabulary. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more varied and precise language related to childcare and personal qualities, and ensure you use words in their correct context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the letter that occasionally impede communication. Examples include 'I am writing about to apply live with your family', 'I have lots of experience to take care of baby boys', and 'It is grateful for me'. You rely almost exclusively on simple sentence structures, and there are errors in subject-verb agreement and preposition usage. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like missing articles or incorrect verb forms. Incorporating a few more complex sentence structures would also help improve your score.
