You have seen an advertisement in an Australian magazine for someone to live with a family for six months and look after their six-year-old child.

Write a letter to the parents. In your letter

• explain why you would like the job
• give details of why you would be a suitable person to employ
• say how you would spend your free time while you are in Australia

Dear Sir or Madam,

This is in reference to your requirement mentioned in an advertisement in the magazine. I would like to apply for the job and explain further the reason of my interest in this job. I have just been shifted to Australia three months ago and pursuing my masters from the university. While I am spending my mornings, attending classes in the university, most of my afternoons are free and i am willing to utilise the time for a part time job, in this way, i will be able to earn some money that can cover my daily expenses of commute to university and food. I have studied psychology in my gradualtion and can deal with a six-year-old child for his requirements to manage his time well and learn to cope up with emotions, absence of parents and homework from School. I hope, i will be able to spend my extra time earning money to cover my expenses so it's not a burden on my family.
